My self-summary
I'm an Engineer by birth and by education. So, I'm a logical and critical thinker. I also tend to fall somewhat into the geek/nerd demographic by some of the things that I say, or some of the things that I like. I tend to be somewhat quiet and shy around new people, but I'm quickly able to warm up and let myself be my complete idiot self around them. I try to be a good, honest person. I love to make people laugh. I have a snarky sarcastic side to me.

I've got the whole adult thing down - I live on my own, support myself with a full time job, take care of my cat, etc. Just looking to add the adult relationship into the equation.

Looking for new friends and romance, but not necessarily in that order.
What I’m doing with my life
Doing the 9-5:30 thing during the week, although trying out the 7-3:30 window instead.

I like my job, and feel like what I do does make a difference.
I’m really good at
- Making people laugh
- Some video games
- Getting better at bowling
- I've been told my google-fu is strong
- I used to be good at going to concerts, and would love to start that up again with someone who shares similar musical interests.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'd say that I can be easy to talk to.

Also, if I'm completely clean-shaven, I've also been told that I look a lot younger than I am. Knowing how old I actually am, that makes me feel both good and bad. :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Not much of a reader these days, but still love the Lord of the Rings books. I've read some Stephen King, and do have some more of his books waiting to be read.

Music: I tend to be all over the spectrum, but I like alternative the most. Recently have listened to Metallica, Pearl Jam, Shinedown, Seether, Portishead, Sara Bareilles, Fiona Apple, and some tv/movie soundtracks. I really am all over the place sometimes.

TV shows: I tend to like dramas. Some of the current ones I watch are: Doctor Who, House, CSI, NCIS, Walking Dead, Criminal Minds, White Collar, Burn Notice, Warehouse 13 and some other dramas. For cartoons, I enjoy Futurama, Rick and Morty, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Metalocalpyse, and Robot Chicken. I'm also up for some of the programming on Discovery, TLC, or Food Network.

Movies: I tend to go towards the dramas, but I have to admit that I'm a sucker for the romantic comedies. All-time favorite movies are The Usual Suspects and Batman Begins. Batman Begins started my man-crush on Christian Bale. I don't normally go to the theater to see movies, I tend to wait until they are released for home viewing.

Food: classic American fare, as well as Mexican, Italian, Indian, and I'm really willing to try almost anything. I do have my no-no foods, which include mushrooms, olives and bananas. Please keep those away from me.
The six things I could never do without
- The interwebs
- Bowling
- My cat
- Humor - oh how I need to have things to keep me amused
- Netflix - to help distress and unwind with on-demand TV shows and movies.
- My fantasy sports teams - sure, it's kinda geeky, but I love it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The meaning of life; the source of true happiness; if time travel is possible; why my cat sits behind me and cries for no reason; why bottle-necks happen on the highway when a car is parked on the shoulder; what if life was more like a video game; why are Dilbert and Office Space so realistic; and other uber-serious ponderings.
On a typical Friday night I am
Fridays are pretty open for me, so I'm hoping to change that!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've named all my cats after characters in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
