My self-summary
I like bbq, whiskey and good music.

I was once bit by a dog wearing a sweater and convinced myself I had rabies.
I enjoy living in a city that allows for great food, music and arts... but love the outdoors (hiking, camping, skiing, swimming). I've always enjoyed exploring new places, whether it be a small town a short drive away or somehwere half-way around the world.
I love music and film. Also college basketball.
What I’m doing with my life
For my day job lifetimes, I work in the mental health field. I currently do therapy with children who have been victims of crime. They teach me a lot about what is important in life.
I enjoy researching and writing about social justice issues.
In my free time I enjoy hanging with my friends, drinking tasty drinks, being silly, reading, exercising, going to museums, concerts and talks.
I’m really good at
listening to music, considering learning a new instrument, fantasy football, over thinking things, making others feel comfortable, singing my thoughts out loud, baking, making people laugh, any sport you can play while drinking, playing soccer (well i'm not GOOD per se, more like i help to get enough girls on the field for a co-ed league). i can also make a mean blueberry pie.
The first things people usually notice about me
my unique-ness.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music: oh man oh man. everything. motown, classical, country (good and bad), indie folk, 90's pop and hip hop, r&b, classic rock... it is sort of pointless to continue but I would have to say that Elvis Perkins, James Carr, and Motown get a lot of play on my ipod. I like music that makes your tummy hurt, like Dylan's "Tomorrow is a Long Time"

Movies: Again, so many to mention. I tend to gravitate towards documentaries, dramas, foreign (maybe all together?). Directors i like: Inarritu, Hitchock, Haneke, Kurosawa, Malick. But I'm not gonna lie, I do love The Sound of Music and My Best Friend's Wedding.

Books: Geek Love, Man's Search for Meaning, Homage to Catalonia, Savage Detectives, Hopscotch to name a few. Authors:Lorca, Cortazar, Carver, Rilke, Celan, Freud, Yalom. Generally enjoy fiction, poetry, theatre and non-fiction stuff related to psychology and sociology.

TV: Oh man the McConassiance, I love True Detective. House of Cards, The Wire, Peep Show, 30Rock, Golden Girls, Arrested Development, PBSNova, Downton Abbey bender.
The six things I could never do without
traveling, tasty food, music, friends, family, and alone time
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how we are all connected in some fundamental way but can feel so lonely at times. also, tacos.
On a typical Friday night I am
I could be out with friends, relaxing at home, going to a gallery, or checking out some talk about a social issue that is generally too depressing for a friday night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am completely obsessed with Tommy Lee Jones in The Fugitive
