My self-summary
I am a complex, interesting woman with varied tastes and a penchant for honesty. I may keep you on your toes but it’s not my intention to make this difficult. I don’t fall in love easily but when I do I’m 100%, all-in, absolutely yours.

I believe that love does conquer all even as time heals all wounds. I wish these weren’t over-used adages but they are true nonetheless. I’m looking for a friend, partner, many others out there, I dream of true love. Will I find it here or not, well, that’s a possibility, isn’t it?

I don’t want to divulge all, something must be saved, left for discovery...
What I’m doing with my life
The million dollar question (though with inflation I don’t know what the going rate for questions actually is these days). Short answer: enjoying every moment of it. Long answer: well, I might need a couple glasses of wine first.
I’m really good at
It isn’t my nature to self-aggrandize and I find this question an invitation to arrogance. I’m a good person and take pleasure in being nice to people. Get to know me and then you can decide for yourself what I’m good at, just be kind when describing where I could improve.
The first things people usually notice about me
My “expressive” least this is what I hear. I prefer to laugh which means you might catch me giggling at something I was just thinking about (I will offer to explain even if you won’t get it completely).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a voracious reader and always have one book or another in play. My collection of reading material is just as ecletic as my music or movie collection. Yes, I had my "romance novel" phase but find that real life is much more romantic than a book could ever describe.

I don't remember a time I wasn't listening to music. One of my earliest memories is of my father and me singing American Pie at the top of our lungs, I was 4. When my parents moved us from the Tri-State area to the middle-of-nowhere Florida and we couldn't get any radio reception, I played my mother's records. I still know nearly every word of every Ricky Nelson song ever recorded. These days I'll listen to most music types (no country, thank you)--see reference to eclectic taste in music above.

We can talk about my love of food and movies on our second date, how about that?
The six things I could never do without
Besides those “things” everyone needs (food, water, shelter), I would find it difficult to give up my cell phone, my car and expensive dark chocolate. I love my family—wouldn’t want to give them up. I love working and I’ve a great job plus I feel better about myself when I’m gainfully employed—so I wouldn’t give up working. I’d like to leave the sixth “thing” as an option...just in case I change my mind.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, I spend time thinking about life. I think about how I can live my life more aligned with my favorite quote: Go confidently in the direction of your dreams, live the life you’ve imagined (Thoreau).
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually my Friday’s start with happy hour somewhere joined by friends. Sometimes we stay through dinner, sometimes we move on to dinner somwhere else. If the week was long and tough, I might head home to relax, watch some TV and enjoy a glass of wine. I’d rather end it with you, there on the couch with me...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I still get afraid.
