My self-summary
I am an outgoing guy who loves to be around people but I also appreciate my alone time. I am kind, empathetic and believe that my super powers are a fantastic forehand (tennis) and emotional intelligence. I enjoy the prospect of meeting someone who is interesting, upbeat, engaging, active and loves to laugh. Potentially someone who would be up for a run or a hike on Mount Tamalpais while at the same time relax and chat over a latte at an outdoor cafe like The Grove on Fillmore. I do like to travel and have been fortunate enough to spend time in Europe, Mexico, etc. I can't bear staying inside on a beautiful day. My friends would describe me as kind, honest, funny/silly, athletic and well informed. I'm a UC Berkeley grad who loves the Bay Area.
What I’m doing with my life
I love to stay active: soccer (played in college), golf (serious work in progress), running, tennis, gym, hiking, salsa, yoga. This is a big part of my life and I'm happiest having spent time outdoors. I'm keen to meet someone who shares an interest in activities. I am a Social Studies teacher who enjoys teaching economics the best.
I’m really good at
soccer, tennis and emotional intelligence. I enjoy all types of sports. I am looking for a partner in crime here, someone who likes to try new things. They don't have to be a great athlete just someone who would love to hike to the German Tourist Club on Mount Tamalpais and enjoy a view and perhaps a beer.
The first things people usually notice about me
is that I am tall, dark and well.... I'd have to say this is a silly question but I'd say they notice I have a great sense of humor and I am not afraid to make self deprecating jokes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Soccernomics, The Coffee Trader, Golf in the Kingdom, Boomerang.
Movies: Usual Suspects, Fishing in Yemen, 80's movies.
Six things I could never do without
Coffee, yoga, salsa, running, tennis, soccer, historical fiction novels, cheesy 80s music. That's 10, sorry.
On a typical Friday night I am
Trying not to step on toes at salsa clubs, or grabbing a happy hour drink after a yoga class or hanging with my bro or sister and their kids.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Nothing as I can be pretty private;)
You should message me if
Sorry for the negatives. Don't contact me if:
1. If you are interested in dating people 20-99 years old
2. If you have only one pic. Especially if it's a solo one.
3. You have no specific interests listed but instead have an odd, dramatic almost poetic profile stating you are looking for the love of your life. It's weird.
4. You start conversations like, "how long have you been on dating sites?"
5. You claim to be Native American and when asked what tribe you have no idea what I'm talking about because you are probably some fake profile from Eastern Europe. (I think these fake profiles are comprable to the horrifying nude pics women are given unsolicited)
6. 40 year old woman who looks 22 in her pic and wants me to go to her weird sex site where I'm sure I'd get some computer virus!
