My self-summary
I recently accomplished one of my long-term goals of graduating and getting a job in the bay area. Next up is paying off my student loans.

I just moved to the area and am looking for new friends and people who can show me the area, maybe some nice hiking trails or beaches.

My username comes from one of my favorite samurai movies: "Man is born crying. When he has cried enough, he dies."
-The character Kyoami from Ran.

I am a(n):
- complex individual with a lot of interests and passions.
- computer programmer
- recent graduate from Missouri State University
- artist (drawing, photography, or digitally on my Intuos)
- photographer (I shoot weddings/portraits)
- Eagle Scout
- loyal friend
- bicyclist
- self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur
- beer snob
- hiker
- camper
- road tripper

I've lived all over the country: California (12 years), Washington (5 years), Texas (5 years), and Missouri (7 years). I have no roots. I'm a houseplant, capable of being shifted from location to location. Part of my goal is growing strong enough to perpetual transplant to the outdoors.
What I’m doing with my life
I went to school for Computer Science so that I might someday create the world's first AI, and bring on the technological singularity. I recently graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and work as a Software Engineer at IBM.

I am always trying to improve my programming/coding skills and am currently fluent in Java, Python, Javascript, C#, HTML5, and have gaps of knowledge for a handful of others. Portions of my work is visible on nearly every page on the Missouri State University website.

Aside from code, specifically, I try to be a Renaissance man, and love exploring new branches of knowledge, or expanding my current skills in various fields.
I’m really good at
Solving problems and breaking computers.
The first things people usually notice about me
If I'm wearing shorts, I'll get comments on my calves. I've been riding bicycles since the age of three and have the muscles to show for it.
Another often noticed is how much time I spend in front of a computer (6-14 hours a day).

I also get a little worked up when people do something illegal or wrong and get away with it. I have been told on more than one occasion that I should be a cop.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: LoTR, Code Complete, Chronicles of Narnia, Tolstoy's Short Stories, Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, 1984, and Brave New World.

Movies: Blade Runner, Ran, Princess Mononoke, and a whole bunch of others.

TV Shows: Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek (all), Stargate SG1, House, Bleach, Top Gear, Trailer Park Boys, Initial D, Dexter.

Food: Mostly Italian. I'll eat pretty much anything except unripe tomatoes, and I love craft brews.
Six things I could never do without
In a whimsical sense:
1. internet (with computer, of course)
2. either glasses or contacts (+supplies)
3. coffee/tea/Rockstars
4. the occasional peace and quiet
5. friends/family
6. camera + film

In a practical sense:
1. air
2. water
3. either glasses or contacts (+supplies)
4. gravity
5. a blade or tool for defense and crafting other essentials
6. raw materials like wood, food to hunt or gather
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The computer programs I'm currently working on, side projects, and the ones I always have going on at work. I live and breathe code. If you were to cut me, I'd probably bleed out binary numbers.

I also get engrossed in whatever my current obsession is, whether that's researching photographic techniques, or whatever major purchase I'm considering (cars, cameras, etc.).

Life, goals, and how to achieve them.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably at a coffee shop. I don't go to the bars much any more, I prefer to stay at home most nights. I will often be engrossed in some programming project.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
It wouldn't be private, then, would it? ;)
You should message me if
