My self-summary
I am studying journalism and cooking at a wine bar. I moved to Portland from the midwest in 2004 and love it here, but I miss the thunderstorms and find that a lot of people out here are pretty flakey (landlords in particular). I love cooking, photography, painting, drawing, travelling, hosting parties (I suffer from Mrs. Dalloway syndrome), reading, communication of all kinds, not watching TV, camping, education, card games, word games, drinking games, logic puzzles, attempting to play music, attempting to play pool, etc.

I am argumentative, hungry, and stubborn
What I’m doing with my life
Apparently letting soulless landlords ruin my life. And transferring schools every year. ForEVER. And not having any money. And spilling bleach on my clothes at work. And burning myself on the toaster. And buying really nice groceries instead of fixing my car. And drinking too much. Or not enough.
I’m really good at
eating, sleeping, not shopping, writing papers the night before they're due.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm not "a smoker." I've been told that I look like a pirate. I've also been told that I look like a lesbian (whatever that means). I have additionally been told that I look like a variety of celebrities --Alley Sheedy (sp?), Carrie Fisher, Janis Joplin, Justine Bateman, Paula Cole(I don't think I actually look anything like any of them). I look like my dad and a lot of people on his side of the family, too. Especially my grandomother in this one picture that I only saw once, but want a copy of really bad. Sometimes people mistake my sister and me for eachother, but we really don't look that much alike (she's taller and thinner and more fashionable and blond).

I spend a lot of time thinking about
things that i have no control over
On a typical Friday night I am
bored or drunk or at work (or some combination thereof)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once cried during an episode of Laverne and Shirley. I am really neurotic (that's not really a secret).
You should message me if
You're not in Xenos or at risk of becoming Xenos. Also if you want to teach me to play the trumpet.
