I love reading, animals, and being outdoors.
If I don't have some up I would be happy to send a photo if you would like to see one.
if i take the time---seeing gods hand or purpose in all things.
movies: glory, remember the titans, hair, the princess bride, monty python and the holy grail, the lion the witch and the wardrobe and most recently, the fault in our stars. the more i watch the last of the mohicans, the better it gets. and the sandlot---every time its on, i'll watch it. i grew up watching abbott and costello movies and still enjoy them. id be remiss if i didnt mention that jean luc picard is one of my favorite fictional characters.
I think survivor is riveting, and I enjoy American restoration, counting cars, and if M*A*S*H is on, I will have it running in the background. I loved everwood when it was on, and that, and the unit never should have been cancelled. numb3rs was terrific and I have enjoyed all the man vs wild and survivorman shows. lately I have become absolutely smitten with the voice.
i pretty much like all music with the exception of rap. the past few yrs has seen me identify strongly with celtic and other folk music, particularly of the slow and peaceful kind (think wild mountain thyme, shenendoah, and song for ireland). ive been all over the uk but not to ireland; id like to go someday. today's country music is so so good. I don't like his politics, but I love springsteen's music. i love joe cocker's version of the letter, the ecstasy of gold from the good, the bad, and the ugly and billy idol's remake of mony mony and sooo many others.
i dont play anything, though i have a wooden recorder id like to learn.
im a vegetarian but outside of that, i'll try most anything and like foods from all over. if i had to live on a desert island though and could only eat a few things for the rest of my life, id say, peanut butter toast and herbal tea (if that can count as one), cold nectarines and watermelon, pizza, pasta, hummus, chips and salsa, bbq potato chips and either grape or tomato juice (what a treat!).
for sure if you want to ride coast to coast, paddle the Mississippi, hike the Appalachian trail or train for & do an ironman triathlon.
and if you've stopped in as a visitor, take a small risk and write me back....
