My self-summary
(Update: Please know I have zero interest in meeting any Republican/Conservative/Trump voters or supporters. Thanks for understanding. Now, on to the profile :-) )

As a baby I used to crawl backwards, in kindergarten my writing could be read in a mirror. In high school I shaved my head into a liberty-spiked mohawk & wore leather jackets and combat boots. I once defiantly chose suspension over removal of my "Fuck Apartheid" t-shirt. In short, I have always been one to cheer for the underdog because more often than not, that has been me. If you can relate to a guy who is strong but sensitive & sophisticated yet funky, then we should connect. My life is in a place I could have only dreamed of; words like content, secure, stable, chill, spontaneous and fun describe where I am at.
What I’m doing with my life
I give thanks and remembrance to my ancestors, a long line of teachers, lecturers, educators, poets, preachers, gypsies, dreamers and other rascals who had the audacity to believe in the power of words to effect the greatest change of all; that of unlocking & empowering human potential. I encompass many of these traits in my work, and am constantly trying to grow and improve in all areas of my life. The future holds a new volume of poetry, home ownership, and a return to college for another degree. Of course, my son is the most important person of all. Such a proud father, soccer coach and scout dad. He is with me 50% of the time.
I’m really good at
Setting up a comfortable campsite without a bunch of fussing and cussing. This includes the campfire and cooking. Then hiking or sightseeing all day.

Doing stuff around the house like take the garbage out or grab the monkey wrench and unclog that slow sink in the bathroom. And not gender specific stuff either, I will help you with those dishes. Which do you prefer, washing the dishes, or drying them? :-)

Finding interesting stuff to do such as farmers markets, lectures, art shows, punk rock flea markets, book binding exhibitions, food truck gatherings, dance recitals, music festivals, makers fairs, carnivals, poetry readings, museum openings, sports events, hiking trails, road trips, tent cabins, cultural events, wine tastings, food pairings, cafe installations and other awesome random coolness. Looking for someone who is into doing more of this kind of stuff and less of watching TV and sitting around. (Though Netflix and chill is great, too.)

Living a happy and healthy lifestyle. To me this means sleeping a full night & working out regularly with free weights, and doing many different exercises which cause muscle confusion. Cardio is biking, walking, hiking, and swimming or surfing. Next on the list is SUP. Want to try it with me? Of course, yoga, stretching and meditation are crucial in keeping me grounded, calm and stress-free. (Good health also means that I strive for healthy thoughts, speech, actions and relationships, too!) Investing time, money and energy into the foods I eat is the final piece to the puzzle. I do not normally drink alcohol on the day-to-day, but will gladly enjoy a hearty pint, craft cocktail, wine flight, or bourbon tasting with you anytime. Yum!

Food: Preparing and sharing a meal is one of life's underrated & simple pleasures. Local, organic, sustainable? Even better.

2) A sense of purpose & passion
3) Gratitude and service.
4) Laughter & having fun.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
What to prepare for dinner tonight
It's the end of the world as we know it. Do I feel fine?
On a typical Friday night I am
Who knows? Maybe at home relaxing or out to see the sights.
You should message me if
Your horoscope said it was the right time. :-)
