I'm just a guy in the Boston area looking for new people who'd want a +1 to hang out or go on an occasional hike. I work in a library, where I am paid to browse reddit, analyze data with occasional scripting, and be a generally charming/helpful individual. I majored in mathematics, so forgive me for occasionally derailing our conversations to discuss tangential things like the dynamics of highway traffic, or implications of alternative universe topologies (and if you can talk math back to me I'll swoon). I have a spiritual relationship with rain above anything else. I sometimes bake my friends pastries for non-special occasions. I like to think I'm very open minded, liberal, adventurous, laid back, optimistic, and I love to seek out new experiences. I'm a bit flirtatious and like to layer different meanings into what I say. I love being around people who can entertain a good debate or just as equally keep a conversation light and relaxed.
I'm currently seeing a guy that I actually met here but I'm still open to meeting people and doing fun things. I really am interested in meeting new people of all kinds, so please don't be deterred.
Folding Origami. Or more appropriately "assembling" origami. I tend to gravitate toward modular models, but I can still fold you a frog or a pelican if you so desire.
I like to teach, and I've been told I'm somewhat decent at it (okay, I've actually been told I should become a professor, but I'm trying to be modest here).
The Jungle, Upton Sinclair

I tend to like music that doesn't need words, like classical and electronic music. Fun fact: I associate musical sounds and beats with colors and textures. That said, my staple is usually mechanical, light blue, and translucent, but I won't mind a good dark-hued, lustrous, or even dusty beat. You should message me if you're more curious, and I'll try to come up with a more in depth explanation.
ANYTHING that isn't bland. If it's so spicy that I cry, I love it (it's a wee bit of masochistic I suppose). I try not to be picky, except I am not a big fan of seafood (but I'm trying to change that!) UPDATE: Wow, sushi, where have you been all my life!?

When I'm at home by myself, I usually don't wear clothes. According to my friends, this is "not normal" behavior. That's too bad.
