I’m a Texas native, but have been living like a nomad for the past few years. Between being a healthcare refugee and attending school in different states, I've put a lot of miles on my hamster-car.
Based on past reactions, I don’t think I am who people expect me to be. Many have described me as odd, goofy, strange, weird, or bizarre. I don’t think I’m that unusual, but I’ll let you be the judge. Initially, I can be very quiet and socially awkward, but underneath that external reserve I am no shrinking violet.
I’m a biology nerd, love literature, exercise fanatic, and extensive food allergies have made me a pretty darn good cook, but animals are my true passion.
Where do you fit into all this? Well, I’m not in the market for a soulmate, so we don’t have to be a perfect match. I’m looking for people who know how to carry on a decent conversation and who want to share experiences with me as friends. Can you show me where the good hiking trails are? Take me to a martial arts or yoga class? Want to spend a night in cuddling on the couch under the thrall of the glowbox (once we know each other reasonably well, of course)? Make some elaborate kitchen messes- and possibly something edible? Go out to a museum, zoo, or aquarium? I’m sure there’s lots more. What are you interested in or passionate about? What do you want to try?
Also, I’ve been climbing for a few years, but I’d like to go from “enthusiastic” to “obnoxious” so I’m always on the lookout for mentors who can get me there... or just anyone willing to belay (I’m kind of a climbslut truth be told).
i try to avoid the glowbox.
different sounds are good for different activities. but never country. country music is never good.
