If the above paragraph isn't clear enough, I'm a huge nerd. Or a hipster with a hell of a denial complex. Either way, most things about me fit into a box labeled "GEEKERY" in large black letters. Things like "knows how to assemble a computer" and "writes D&D campaigns featuring enemies which are actually living pastries" comprise a large amount of this box's contents, but there's also a bit of "brews his own beer" and "thinks denim rolled to the knee is an acceptable fashion statement" representing another good chunk of space. I've been called odd before. Yeah, "odd" could be my summary all on its own. But I'm hopefully exaggerating.
Day-to-day, though, I'm a normal enough guy. I get up early and go to work where i design computer systems that keep chemical plants from exploding. I probably eat too much pho and drink too much iced coffee during the week. I go running after work to combat the excess calories gained from said pho and coffee. I really enjoy gaming online with my younger brothers who live too far away for me to see as often as I like. And I like to read before bed.
I'm looking for someone to be real with. She likes road trips, hiking, cooking together, dumb movies, and will possibly force me to learn to dance.
I also have a talent for cooking developed to support my eating habit.
But maybe it's just that I'm funny looking. You be the judge.
I've developed a Vonnegut habit. So it goes.
The last movie I really enjoyed was Moonrise Kingdom. It's a bit quirky and odd, as most Wes Anderson films are, and I enjoy that. It was also nice to see Bruce Willis playing a character for once.
Rick and Morty is all I've kept up with lately. It's really great, so you should too. And I really liked The Clone Wars animated series. Had to brush up on my canon history before the new film releases, so I binge watched the whole thing.
Economic simulation board games by European designers, mostly. This is not a joke.
I usually say I'll listen to anything, but you wouldn't know that if you looked at my play history and saw the days worth of play that The Black Keys "thickfreakness" album has gotten recently.
Homemade fish tacos, chili, BBQ, and just about anything spicy.
printed books - ebooks just don't satisfy.
tea - Sweet nectar of the gods...I may have a problem.
soft pencils - to get the shading just right on all my doodles
musical instruments - I'm no good, but that's half half the fun!
A well seasoned cast-iron pan
Really though, I tend to over-think everything to the point of nervousness. The bravado and ego are just a front I put up so you can't tell. Mostly. Usually.
