This thing might be too long. If it is here is the short version; I'm awesome and you have very good taste for reading my profile.
In general, things fascinate me.
Being an engaging conversationalist is important to me (for me, not necessarily in a friend or romantic interest!) because, as stated one sentence up, things fascinate me. One of the best ways to learn and share is through interesting conversation. Give and take, being able to talk and listen, are traits that I feel I have. Feel free to find out. I'll talk to just about anyone, mostly because I'm looking for adventure. Every new piece of information gained, or connection made might lead to something amazing. That's one reason why it's so confusing that people have such resistance to engaging with new people. Sure, on one level I get it, but the rewards are there.
I have been lucky enough (read: able to scrimp and save up money for years) to have traveled more than a bit. Besides Canada, I've been to Mexico for a few days, and both France and Japan for a few weeks. I absolutely love Japan and would love to go back for a week, a month, or years. There are a great deal more places that I'd love to visit as cultures fascinate me. Sweden is getting up there on the list.
My friends and family are very important to me. This is a statement a lot of people make, but probably means something different to each of them. For me it means I will be spending some time with them and would prefer it if anyone who I bring into my life would join me in doing so from time to time.
I have a BA in English from SUNY at Fredonia. I still can't spell worth beans. I wasn't English Education, but English, well, literature and writing (also known as Composition). Hopefully at some point I'll get some of my short stories, novel, or poetry book published.

Quick hobby list: Drawing, Writing, Hiking, Working Out, Martial Arts, Crafts, Games, Reading, Learning, Comedy, Acting, Cosplay, Anime, Making Things
An impromptu list of favorite things I did for a forum.
Making people laugh.
Talking in bed while cuddling.
Learning new things.
Making or failing at making just about anything.
Drawing things from the stories in my head.
Losing at Scrabble.
Playing with hair.
Walking through the woods.
I can't believe this needs it's own paragraph, but I love my hair and I'm not going to cut it. I'm going to enjoy it for as long as I can. If you're only contacting me to see if I'll cut my hair for you, please don't bother.
Lately I've been working on my cabin and surrounding land a lot, going for runs, and studying for the LSATs.
Trying to just improve things in general. There is a good chance that I'll open my own business at some point. What that is would be the question. I've designed everything from knives, to blimps, to hydrogen powered cars.
Talking, listening, I'm pretty good at a lot of things but really good at a little. I'm not a bad writer, just not a very driven one. I'm a terrible spellerer.
I was reminded that I'm pretty damn skilled with my hands. I'm a naturally cuddly person.
Mystery Science Theater 3000 is one of my favorite shows, although I didn't get into it till last year. Late to the party I know. That kind of humor in general is endearing to me when done well.
Haiku books, poetry in general though I don't read much of it right now, Kung Pow, actually, this would make it hard to have a conversation if you already knew all this. So I'll only give a small sample. If I listed all the books I enjoyed, it would be a really long list. I am an ardent follower of the Skeptoid podcast. Or at least I was until his trial for fraud. Such a let down.
Expanding on that, I like a variety of music, including some of the ones people traditionally either like all of or hate all off; rap and country. I've found a lot of groups at Labyrinth Cafe in Jamestown, but because I'm terrible with names I've forgotten most of them. All of the members of the old group, The Cobra Brothers are really talented. If forced to pick a favorite band it would be The GooGooDolls.
I love a lot of foods, from a lot of lands, but sushi rocks.
I come up with stories in my head, and think about them as movies, games, or books. I'll also design things in my mind and sketch them out. These include cars, spaceships, airplanes, houses, gardens, skyscrapers, and anything else that pops into my head.
Also, something about rating profiles deeply discomforts me. I think wayyyy to hard about it.
You can intelligently debate the merits and detriments in the command styles of Kirk and Picard.
You can name the differences between a falchion and a saber.
You can recite a poem from memory, any poem.
You can tell me a few great places to hike.
Nerdy girls, artsy girls, outdoor girls, have extra reason to talk with me.
