My self-summary
I am an optimistic pessimist. Shit is going to happen, but if you're ready for it and can keep in stride things will be fine. Therefore, there's no reason to complain and gripe about it all.

I like rainy days, sodium lights, and concrete buildings. I get a little bit suspicious about people that always seem very happy. Dry, somewhat self deprecating humor is my jam.

Also, I would probably be a good thug. I'm a little too tall, a little too big, and have a little too much brute strength to operate perfectly in polite society. Instead I got a degree in physics. 20/20 hindsight, I guess.
What I’m doing with my life
I kind of have a compulsion to tinker with stuff and keep my hands busy, so I end up spending a good amount of free time making beer, electronics, and crafts.

I'm working on my heritage arts in preparation of the predicted economic apocalypse (or whatever type of apocalypse happens to fit your fancy) of 2030. That and video games.
I’m really good at
I am capable of cooking, accidentally breaking things, and fixing broken things. I can brew beer, make my own dried spices, and use the oxford comma. I have never broken a bone. I can also hold my own at sarcasm and being proven wrong.
The first things people usually notice about me
With the end of beard season, probably the fact that I almost knocked over the table when sitting down. Sorry.

On the subject of food: if I have not tried it, I have a reasonable expectation that it will be edible, and there is no sign it will make me ill, then I consider it my self made duty to eat it. The only foods that I have no desire to ever try again are sea urchin, blood sausage, and beef intestine.
The six things I could never do without
The internet
Late night internet purchases
My glasses
Spontaneous fermentation
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The nature of consciousness, how to build a moon nation, chaos, how to escape from angry bees, and what should I do this weekend?
On a typical Friday night I am
Traveling through time. On a really crazy night I might not even make it back home until last week.

I once spent a weekend in the past progressive when my ride broke down. I was stuck. It was tense.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I actually just made a grammar joke.
You should message me if
- If you have any impulse to, go ahead and do it. I like having conversations with new people.

- You have a fun fact you would like to share or quiz me on.

- I have a typo or some other problem that you can't resist correcting.

- You have a corgi, border collie, or similar dog I can play with. You can come too if you want, I guess.

- You would like to be regaled with tales of daring and interest over coffee, tea, burritos, sushi, or anything else. Other available tales include tales of disinterest, stories without a punch line, and bad retellings of television shows or video games. Or jokes. I have a good number of bad jokes.
