My self-summary
I'm Kevin. I can't decide between Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. I'm a pragmatist, a stoic, and optimist (contradictory I know). I might be pretty quiet when we first meet, but that'll change as I warm up to you.

My hamartia is my complete inability to initiate conversations (well).

Also, if you're new to OKC, take a look at this video. It's all pretty great advice: (it contains a bit of profanity and a lot of put-down humor). I don't necessarily follow the bit about photos though, I hate taking photos of myself and none of my friends are really picture people.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently working the mail room in a South Lake Union company. Also looking for a roommate in that area if you can recommend anybody :)

I like hanging with my nerdy friends, playing too many vidja games, and reading when I can. There isn't much I actively like to 'go out' for other than food or movies, but I'm open to pretty much anything with good company!
I’m really good at
I'm not exactly remarkable, but my ego tells me I'm a pretty good critic and a passable chorus singer (lower baritone in the Seattle Men's Chorus).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm particularly interested in things that are ... good? If I can play a game, read a book, hear a song, and just GET the feeling the creator put into it, that's a pretty good indication I'll love it.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower; the Harry Potter series; Catch-22; Looking for Alaska; Les Misérables. Currently reading Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, by Hayao Miyazaki

Up; The Princess Bride; West Side Story; Juno; The Incredibles; Ever After; Breakfast at Tiffany's; The Sound of Music; A Chorus Line; Zombieland; Princess Mononoke; Summer Wars ...

Queen; Simon & Garfunkel; soundtracks from musicals; Cake; Death Cab for Cutie; Nobuo Uematsu; Chopin; Michael Jackson; ABBA; The Mighty Mighty Bosstones; The Mamas and the Papas; Janis Joplin; Scott Joplin; Ella Fitzgerald; The Ink Spots ...

I don't watch very many serials. Usually I prefer a short and well-made series. Over the Garden Wall; Samurai Champloo; Steven Universe; Log Horizon; Cowboy Bebop; Avatar.

Current trends include lots and lots of Overwatch (my Steam tag is brumagem). Final Fantasies I, V - X; Journey; Team Fortress 2; Assassin's Creed II; the Fallout series; Portal; Rhythm Heaven; Legend of Dragoon; Smash Bros. series ...

Don't judge me. There are actually some really great comics out there if you look hard enough under the big pile of mediocre stuff: Johnny Wander; Cucumber Quest; Shortpacked!; XKCD; Dumbing of Age; O Human Star; The Less Than Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal; Tripping Over You; Always Raining Here; Check, Please! ...
Six things I could never do without
My glasses
The internet
A book
My jacket
Sheet music and
A piano
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Any number of things I have ideas for, but don't have the skills/drive/resources to actually act on, like designing a JRPG, composing a song, reforming K-12 education, constructing defenses for my zombie-apocalypse fortress etc. etc.
You should message me if
I'm currently in an open relationship with two other guys, but our sexual appetites don't sync up very well, so the biggest thing I'm looking for right now is casual sex or a regular FWB, honestly. Don't be dissuaded if you want to actually date though, I'm still open to that as well :)

Plus, I'm the kind of doofus who'll sometimes defer sending the first message until I know just the right way to start the conversation (which rarely happens) or give up after a while and say something generic and forgettable (or nothing at all). If you are interested, I encourage you to start the conversation.
