I'm a skeptic, so if you believe weird stuff that's totally cool and there's no reason we can't get along, but in a long-term relationship there's a good chance you will find it annoying.
What I’m doing with my life
Nerding out. Working on my degree and preparing my music lessons and classes for when I start teaching for a living. At this point I give them really cheap and accept all kinds of trades to develop experience, and am getting some wonderful results!

Due to the practical need of a more viable career, I have been intensely learning computer programming and web design this past year. My goal is to make a living doing freelance work so that I can have the flexibility to travel.
I’m really good at
Singing, composing, writing, making pizza
The first things people usually notice about me
I have the craziest hair you've ever seen, and make perplexing facial expressions (I have a perma-smirk from nerve damage... and a pretty cool facial scar from surgery)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
“This bowl of lukewarm tapioca represents my brain. I offer it in humble sacrifice. Bestow thy flickering light forever.” - Calvin (to the TV)

Rick and Morty, Breaking Bad, Family Guy, South Park, Bob's Burgers

Grunge, metal (especially gothic metal) ukuleles, classical, Qawwali, Yemenite
Primus, Nirvana, Frank Zappa, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Tom Waits.
Not much into jazz because it too often lacks a singable melody. I don't like much bluegrass or reggae because it's too happy. I'm a very happy person but it must be on my own terms, situations that attempt to force me to have a good time will only piss me off. I like violent, depressing music, like Chopin and Beethoven. Mozart is one exception, listening to it actually makes me very happy. Also '50's Do-Wop. Although I'm not into reggae I'm a huge fan of John Brown's Body, at least their older stuff with Kevin. And bluegrass that's in a minor key and not too fast sounds amazing, but it's rare. Normal bluegrass makes me want to punch people in the face. But I'm not a violent person.

Pizza, whiskey, titties & beer

"And there is no aspect, no facet, no moment of life that can't be improved with pizza." - Daria
Six things I could never do without
pizza, various instruments and lube
I spend a lot of time thinking about
creeps. why so many people are, why I am not, and how I can possibly distinguish myself from them. i hear about all the awful messages you have to deal with and i seriously can't understand why people think that shit's gonna get them anywhere except *maybe* with someone who doesn't actually appreciate them for who they are. because if what you're putting out is something fake... that's probably what you're gonna get back.

polyamory. i've never tried it, and i have to admit that i still don't really get it. my idea of a fulfilling relationship is one where two partners are fully committed to each other. so i'm trying to learn more about polyamory so i can better understand. The one thing they really have in their corner is the idea of not expecting another person to "complete" you, which only sets you up for failure because it's impossible for anyone to do that, and the real issues behind the codependency are not being addressed.
On a typical Friday night I am
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a teddy bear named Burt who sleeps with me.
I have *other* toys too ;)
You should message me if
I'm mostly looking for friends and stuff, I'm very independent and not necessarily seeking a serious romantic or sexual relationship at this point. But if the chemistry is there, something could develop of course. Musical activities are especially welcome, I'd love to start a new project and if you want to learn to sing or play anything I really wanna help!

Come sing karaoke with me! I could do it every night of the week, but it's more fun if I'm not going out by myself. I wanna start going to open mic nights too, I have a strong calling to investigate and help develop the local music scene.

follow me on tumblr haha
