My self-summary
I'm a big kid at heart who adults when necessary. I love video games, tabletop gaming, all things science fiction, and baking (yes....I'm a straight male who will bake you a cake that will blow your socks off)
What I’m doing with my life
Working, working, and working. When I'm not slaving for the man I like to go hang out with friends at either a barcade or tabletop cafe/store. I also like to fix old game systems (my current obsession is restoring Sega Game Gears). Part of me is still wondering what I want to be when I grow up but then again life is a journey with no definitive answers, just scenarios that you can either make the best out of or completely screw up and learn from.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh, baking, and conversation. I will bake you a cake while making you laugh so hard you *might* pee yourself all while talking your ear off. It's quite an amazing skill set if I don't say so myself.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes, the place on my neck where my skin is pure white, and that I'm probably wearing some off the wall tee-shirt (ask me about Squatty Potty)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - Harry Potter, Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles, Chronicles of Narnia, cook books, anything about Jim Morrison (I am a Doors fanatic)
Music - I listen to EVERYTHING, but if I had to pick favorites they would be: Nine Inch Nails, U2, Placebo, Billy Talent, Crash Kings, Cage The Elephant, The Doors, Flyleaf, fun., Paramore, My Chemical Romance, The White Stripes, The Black Keys, The Dillenger Escape Plan, Evanescence, Muse
Movies - I watch everything and anything. I love the Alien films, Donnie Darko, Trick R Treat, Blade Runner.....into a lot of sci-fi and horror, but enjoy comedy and drama as well. I'll even watch a chick flick every now and then.
Food - born Italian, love Mexican, and I cook a lot of my own variety.
Six things I could never do without
My IPOD - music is my sanity
A good book - reading is a passion
My friends - they keep my grounded
Music - see item 1
Coffee - saving lives one cup at a time
Movie theater popcorn - because that butter oil stuff is like crack
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I need to do to bring some of my ideas to life. I have always wanted to open a business that brings families together - something like a tabletop cafe or even a bookstore with a cafe in it.
On a typical Friday night I am
Watching movies with my dad (he's a bachelor and we live together)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'll tell you when I trust you. I have been through many hells to get to where I am and to know me is to know them.
You should message me if
You are a nerd/geek who is OK with a man who takes care of his dad, understanding that I have limits and rules to keep myself safe from being hurt again, and that it will take a lot of time before I begin thinking about "traditional" goals from a relationship. I won't play you, but I'm not going to drop my guard right off the bat either.
