"Develop an interest in life as you see it; the people, things, literature, music - the world is so rich, simply throbbing with rich treasures, beautiful souls and interesting people." -- Henry Miller
"Music melts all the separate parts of our bodies together.” Anais Nin
I am working to increase the time I have for painting and other visual art as well as music/songwriting. I love my time with my children and am so impressed with the delightful people they are becoming every day.
I've decided to relocate in about a year and the big question is, "Where?" I'm looking at France, Brazil or Italy right now but tend to spend time exploring any and all places.
I'm pretty good at painting, playing guitar and singing.
Miles Davis, Stan Getz. Ryan Adams, Blind Faith, Getz/Giberto, Brahms 5th, Garbage, Hole, Gretchen Parlato, Spoon, Jason Spooner, Talking Heads, Brian Eno, Flaming Lips, Pixies, Maria Callas, Michael Frante/Spearhead, The Who, Eric Clapton, the Flower Duet from Lakme, Cream, Yo La Tango, Los Prisioneros, Cake, Annie Lennox, The Pretenders, The Strokes, New York Dolls, Patti Smith, Joni Mitchell, Black-Eyed Peas, Patsy Cline, Vanessa da Mata, Ben Harper, Dave Matthews, Ben Folds Five, Grateful Dead, Velvet Underground, Jimmy Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Allman Bros, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Lucinda Williams, Tales of Hoffman, John Lee Hooker, Ella Fitzgerald, any REALLY GOOD bass player - but especially blues.
