I sat down and tried to think of the 5 most important things that I strive for in a relationship, and these were the result:
-Communicating openly and honestly as to how we feel about one another/our relationship.
-Uplifting one another and embracing each other’s virtues and vices.
-Enhancing my partner’s life without imposing my own lifestyle on them.
-Seeking out and exploring new life experiences together.
-Challenging each other in positive ways to become better individuals inside and outside of the relationship.
Like every twenty something, I'd like to think I have a clue what I'm doing with my life, but am constantly realizing I am utterly clueless... which is daunting and exciting at the same time!
Philosophizing about crazy stuff... like how the atoms that make up a flower could literally be the same atoms that made up my dead ancestors, or even myself...
Books: Way of the Peaceful Warrior, Tao of Pooh, The Defining Decade, JRR Tolkien, Haruki Murakami, Tao Te Ching.
Movies: Corpse Bride, Crash, Babel, I Love You Man, Lord of the Rings, Love Actually, Nightmare Before Christmas, Moulin Rouge, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Cowboy Bebop, The Holiday, Zoolander, documentaries, and pretty much anything from Tim Burton.
Music: Scissor Sisters, Pete Philly and Perquisite, Antoine Defour, Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens, Mumford and Sons, Guru, live jazz at bars and cafes.
