My self-summary
I am a guy on a journey looking for a companion.
I am sarcastic.
The subjects that interest me are also the least politically correct in some cases. They are, in no particular order, politics, religion/philosophy, and science.
I am not particularly shy, nor am I a huge extrovert. I like to go out but I also enjoy staying in with a book, movie, etc.
I don't trust someone who doesn't like dogs but I trust a dog when they don't like someone.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a Performance Manager for a software company in Alpharetta. That is what I am doing as a job, what I am doing with my life is a deeper existential question. I find that those sorts of questions are best contemplated in moodily lit rooms while drinking a fine beer.
I’m really good at
Trivia (there's quite a bit of useless information stored in my head and really not much else). I am quite adept at being sarcastic, but I think I have already mentioned that. I am generally punctual, inquisitive, and gregarious.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have gotten several answers to this question but I'd hope it is sincerity.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
A sampling:

Books- Anything by Michael Crichton or Tom Clancy. Political books, especially those dealing with foreign affairs. Ray Kurzweil, Neal Stephenson, Douglas Adams, Erik Larson. I like novels and non-fiction. My interests run the gamut.

Movies- Casablanca, Sunset Blvd, Some Like It Hot, The Man Who Knew Too Little, Caddyshack. Any of the "Jack Ryan" films, most everything with Harrison Ford; most historical movies e.g. Lawrence of Arabia, Patton, etc.. I enjoy thrillers, and suspense films, and finally these are some the romantic films that I am not ashamed at all to admit I like Breakfast at Tiffany's, and Sabrina with either Harrison Ford or Humphrey Bogart.

Television- The Newsroom, Sports Night, Bones, House, The Office, Arrested Development, The West Wing, and an assortment of others.

Music: My list would be far too long to be easily culled through to find if we have similar tastes. A cop out but I am open to most anything.
Six things I could never do without
-My vision, literally, hearing is great and all and I'd miss them if they were gone, but without sight you are blind (pun intended) and honestly that would suck.
-New ideas.
-The ability to see the best in things/people
-All the experiences that made me who I am. (For better or worse.)
-An escape plan.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why am I here? Where are we going? Will there be cheese there when we arrive?
On a typical Friday night I am
I am often relaxing, but that can take on a myriad of forms.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have had several near death experiences.
