My self-summary
Photographer. Musician. Philosopher. Animal lover. Computer geek. Eclectic? Yeah, we'll go with that.

I've lived in Charlotte most of my life and enjoy travelling, movies, art, music, museums, going to gallery crawls and seeing local bands. I also enjoy poetry and the writings of Jack Kerouac and Richard Brautigan. Joseph Campbell is god. :-)
What I’m doing with my life
I'm always working on myself whether its working out or working on photography. I believe that if you're not moving forward, you're moving backwards!
I’m really good at
Techie stuff. Photography. ( Playing armchair philosopher. And apparently I'm very good at not getting dates from online dating sites. :-)
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I've seen and read most of the "classics" but I'm sometimes surprised by the things I've missed. I love Studio Ghibli anime, Akira Kurosawa films, and the animated series "Daria." I'm also a big fan of sci-fi/fantasy books and movies. My favorite music is jazz, but I like just about anything, although I'm not a big fan of country. I like a lot of different ethnic music styles, and right now I'm on a bit of a Skrillex kick. I play middle-eastern percussion (tabla, riq, tabla baladi) and have performed with a couple of middle-eastern / Turkish bands. (A now defunct band called Alghiz, and as the guest drummer for Turku.) Right now I'm reading Turning Pro by Steven Pressfield. Also a couple/three photography books. There's always one of those on my night-stand.
The six things I could never do without
My camera
Computer (for Photoshop)
Animals (love my furry friends!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Deep thoughts. :-)
On a typical Friday night I am
...usually either at the Gallery Crawls or listening to a local band someplace. My favorite hangouts are NoDa, or The Common Market in Plaza/Midwood. Although the occasional quiet Friday night at home with a movie or good book is enjoyable as well.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
...I'm saving to tell you in private.
You should message me if
You have something to say.
