My self-summary
I'm a bit of an realist, a leftist and cultural enthusiast. I like my friends and talk to my parents regularly (and enjoy it). I'm perpetually late, but try to be there for what matters.
What I’m doing with my life
I enjoy good company and hang in my usual spots. I might sound a tad boring but its nice to take pleasure in the day to day... Other then that I just finished my MA and am now looking for a steady gig.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I smile a lot?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Love me some art books, I used to make them for a living so... As for the literature here's a very short list: Little Prince, Bukowski, Fernando Pessoa. I just finished writing my dissertation which involved ALOT of academic reading, so I think I'll be taking a breather. That said I always like a good short story and being read to never gets old.

I watch a lot of movies, more of the indie variety but a good ol' blockbuster every once and a while can be fun too... Some directors I enjoy: Lars von Trier, Paul Thomas Anderson, Jim Jarmusch, Emir Kusturica, Gus Van Sant, Harmony Korine, Krzysztof Kieslowski, Larry Clark, Wes Anderson...

It's gotten to a point where I feel uncomfortable walking down the street without my headphones (should be alarmed by this??). In any case recently I've been listening to a lot: Bon Iver and Philip Glass. But I like all the classics like Nina Simone, Velvet Underground, Nick Drake, Elliott Smith, Johnny Cash...

Food: breakfast
The six things I could never do without
new york
sneakers (i'm a fan of the classics: chucks, vans, etc)

Interestingly enough in the past year I had to go without a lot of these and guess what? I survived! Except for the sneakers... Those were a must.
On a typical Friday night I am
I honestly don't go out on the "weekends", I'd prefer to avoid the B&T and get drinks on a Tuesday. But if we are being literal, I might be home watching a movie, maybe doing groceries or whatever pops in my head at the moment. I might also have plans for dinner, or meeting a friend like any other day in the week...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I enjoy watching bad TV/movies - I have decided its time to fess up to guilty pleasures.

You're an optimist! Seems to be a dying breed these days...

I'm not into extensive messaging, let's just meet in person!
