My self-summary
I'm in a pretty serious relationship, so I'm mostly just on here for quizzes and chat, or maybe friends. Since I moved her I don't have many people to discuss what I'm reading with, and what good is a book if you can't discuss it? I am a perpetual student and an incorrigible goof. Religion and Theology are among my major interests; my manner of thought could be described as predominantly mystical. I can quite easily accept two contradictory propositions simultaneously, and consider consistency to be the hallmark of a liar. I like cats. I like to be silly. I think normal is another word for insecure. I love tea and coffee. I like people of all sorts, and would love to meet them all. I like to dance like a fool, and make an ass of myself in a non-threatening manner. I like calling cotton candy spun sugar. I like to call oatmeal porridge. I like to learn what makes people tick. I like B movies. I really like kids and am currently a full-time nanny. I like surprises. I love Saved by the Bell, no one realizes its satirical genius. I like to throw off all of my inhibitions. I try to be a gentleman. I enjoy sarcasm, but not in a rude way. I pretend to have imaginary children. The oldest is at math camp. I enjoy being an eccentric. I wish it were acceptable for adults to play make believe, and run through the tunnels in the play zone at McDonalds. I'd like to build a fort, sit in it, read, and drink tea. I believe that Feminism is insufficient, and the time has come for a movement to liberate all people from the tyranny of gender norms. Sometimes soup is delicious. I wish that I liked to exercise, but I'm rather sedentary. Swings are fun, but merry-go-rounds make me throw up. Last time I rode on the merry-go-round I threw up right on top of it in order to warn the other kids to stay away. I would like to attain true innocence. The English language is fun because it has something for everyone (an etymological stew!) I like to kiss hands, and if someone did the same for me I think I'd die with pleasure. My old car's name was Glenda, and she was a single mother who worked in a grocery store. My new car Elias is somewhat of a disappointed idealist. I like to tell jokes that really aren't funny. I'd like to find the fountain of youth to resurrect my departed cats. I wish that Miss Cleo was my childhood nanny. I spill salt on purpose so I can throw it over my shoulder. I really like people, but I'm a tiny bit shy, so I try to be friendly by smiling at no one, or maybe the ceiling. I can steer a car using only my feet. I'm a hardcore ENFP. I have my own religion based on Finnegans Wake. My friend and I just founded a League of Aristotelian Esperantists, and we're making jerseys! I go on imaginary dates with GOD!, and afterwards we cuddle and do a crossword in our pajamas. I like to change the rules of grammar just for fun, I'm especially fond of dropping articles and the verb 'to be'.

I am childlike, studious, and gentle
What I’m doing with my life
Working as a full-time nanny, Reading the great works, Learning as much as possible. Seeking spiritual truth. Improving myself. Constructing my world view. Changing diapers and watching Sesame Street. Drawing historical events as re-enacted by cats. Praying to paper bags, tacos, and other nonsense objects. Eating too much candy. Looking forward to leaving the mid-west. Reading weird German Naturphilosophie. Wishing I had someone to play Backgammon with.
I’m really good at
Standing on my head (I can go for like two minutes), public speaking, working with children, having a good time, grammar and spelling, being a goof, I'm pretty good at reading tarot although I don't really believe in it, Interpreting literature. Writing eclectic amateur theology.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my very childlike persona, or my resonant baritone "radio-voice", the volume of which I have a difficult time controlling, so that I end up being stared at by everyone on the bus. I have a rather large nose. I look much younger than my actual age. Every time someone comes to the door they inevitably ask if my mom or dad is home.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
God, life, death, and the human conundrum; whether I'll meet a decent fellow(problem solved), the purpose of my life, alternative modes of being (what is that supposed to mean?), hoping for the dawn of a new romanticism (it's been a long time coming), integrating as many belief systems as possible into one great mono-pan-poly-a-theism, theories of human freedom founded on irony and play, making pilgrimages and prayers to North Dakota's collective world's largest livestock statues, tearing myself apart and rearranging the pieces, non-nicean christianities, sects, and pseudo-sciences, Aristotelian theories of animal reproduction, crocodile dentist and 'what could be greater than golf with a gator', ethics, ethics, ethics, Hegelian caesuras within the guts of Jonah's whale, 100-monkey revolutions, my mad love for Moby Dick. Whether plants have feelings. What! Pringles aren't made from real potato slices? Clashing duties. Arcane references and mysterious asides. The German Antigone. Action and consequence. Salt, Sulfur, Mercury. Beginnings, endings, means, and middles. The talents of teen-wolf. An item list for to-do day. Trends in nuclear fission. Morality as Freedom. Kant explaining the mechanics of not so funny jokes.
On a typical Friday night I am
Getting caught up on reading or hanging out with friends. Listening to records. Drinking caffeinated beverages.

I'm in a pretty serious relationship, but I'd love to make new friends! I'm don't really have a lot of friends in the area, so I'm pretty sorely in need of intellectual company (or any kind of company for that matter).
