The objective is more important: to come across people in submission to our social need... learn a little, share a little, make some happy memories and stay ignorant of the quirks that lie beneath the surface waiting to steal our sunshine.
Movies: most of Martin Scorsese and Christopher Nolan films, fantasy, comedy or dark comedy like American Beauty, animated stuff etc.
Shows: sitcoms like Seinfeld, Big Bang Theory...but not too fond of the idiot-box.
Music: Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Radiohead, various Brit-rock etc.
instrumental rock like Joe Satriani et al; can't leave out my own brand of progressive psychedelic stuff that i compose for myself, some North Indian classical, little bit of Western Classical, world music, some 80s/90s pop/electronic stuff, etc. it really boils down to the song, not the performer/band.
Food: anything that's not too difficult to eat, and not too loud in terms of flavors.
That said, there are little insignificant parcels that pass by my thought factory. For example, almost everybody on social networking sites seem to suffer from "higher than average" confidence (also known as over-confidence, self-hype/pseudo confidence, blind optimism as a result of intoxication from flattery, motivational books, silly grooming tips, some "I luv U"-cards, some "likes", etc. or by simply being blunt and spoilt)... Unfortunately, this glory is sometimes not realized by their real surroundings, propelling them to this virtual realm for reassurance and consolidation with further hype.
Yet, with all that confidence, they'll unwittingly falter at venturing out of their comfort zones, fail to understand/show trust, reliability, empathy and reciprocate well-meaning gestures that some "average" humans possess...hahaha...
Well, that's all fine and dandy especially because I tend to be more sarcastic than sensitive; but the pertinent question is: what's the definition of "average" again, given everybody is better than average?
Yet another not-so-private thing to share is that okc interpreted my abstinent/frugal nature to be thrifty and less ambitious rather than less greedy...hahaha...that instigated me to play around with the questions and see how it varies with age. Hence some of the info could be in an altered state right now...Ask me about any of the stats if you want the correct data. Sorry for the inconvenience.
PS: It might seem unnatural to both of us, but it turns out that even I have received a few likes! Unfortunately, I can't see them since I'm not on A-list...
Don't worry, I also know how to be polite and positive enough :)
