My self-summary
Type-A personality that decided to fuck off and go to art school. Found possibly the most technical corner of art school and stayed there being geeky and honing obscure skills. Was profoundly disappointed that this did not end up making me rich and famous. When something is hard I get annoyed and try harder to make it work.

I am that rare mix of left-brained and right-brained: I am an entrepreneur-artist, a leader in an arts organization, an art teacher, and a project manager at a place where we get to build stuff. I excel at biting off more than I can chew. Sometimes I'm moderately successful at it.

I have lived in Seattle for a little over ten years, and I've lived all over the city. I recently moved to North Greenwood and I'm enjoying exploring my new neighborhood.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to strike a balance between making art and making a living.... and having a life. The last few years have been mostly about pursuing art and career (and art-career), but I've managed to squeeze in some fun here and there.

I have a lot of energy and am pretty ambitious and motivated. I sometimes forget that I am not Wonder Woman, and I get overcommitted quickly - there's too much cool stuff I want to do. I tend to rely on my partner to help find the balance between work and social.

I love travel and adventure - in the last year I added several new stamps to my passport with visits to Reykjavik, Copenhagen, St Petersburg, Moscow, and Dakar. (Dakar was my favorite, followed by St Petersburg.) On one of those trips I also got to stomp around NYC for the first time, which I loved. Looking forward to wherever my next trip takes me (New Zealand I hope!) - but need to build up the piggy bank again first.

I can't seem to go very long without ending up in charge of some group or other. Lately I am running a local arts organization, which is pretty cool. I'm fairly proud of the work we're doing: arts education and support for local artists are things that I'm passionate about.
I’m really good at
Building things. I'm a jeweler by training; I have an art studio in Pioneer Square, and I teach community college jewelry classes some evenings. In my day job I get to work on building bigger stuff which is fun and collaborative and technical in different ways.

I am really good at ideas. I am pretty good at seeing the way things outta be done - and once that's clear, it's kinda like: well hell, that's broken, let's fix it. I'm pretty good at fixing things, but I sometimes get a little overwhelmed because there's a lotta crap that's broken. I like having someone around that will say, hey - f this, let's go play skeeball.

Me and fire, we get along - I love camping and I usually end up being the fire-tender. I am NOT very good at cooking.... But I do like to eat what other people cook... :) I'm also pretty good at making my cat do cute things. She's kind of absurdly cute to begin with though.
The first things people usually notice about me
Brown hair green eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Crazy but true, I have never owned a TV. For a long time I didn't watch ANY television, but recently I have been watching shows online and in collected seasons. I really like this thing Netflix has going with their original series. Recently finished Agents of Shield and Stranger Things (holy wow); still need to watch the current season of GoT.

Music - I like KEXP a lot; I frequently listen to them when I'm working in my studio. I have a soft spot for dance music and industrial too.

I love all the PNW seafood we get here - it never gets old. I also really enjoy Thai and Indian cuisine, and sushi. But I'm also pretty much always game for a burger and a beer, or even a slice of pizza.

Pretty serious coffee habit. Dark chocolate, too.
Six things I could never do without
Coffee, creative outlet, nature, a plan, music, more coffee.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Art. Group dynamics. Time management.

Did I turn the gas off?
On a typical Friday night I am
Hopefully out - at a brewery, a dive bar, a karaoke night with friends, a dance club... the world in which I actually make plans in advance. In reality I might have been too busy to make fun plans, so I'm at home watching Netflix.
You should message me if
Looking for a smart, sexy, ambitious guy who takes care of himself and take care of the stuff in his world. Want to go start some trouble? I need a partner in crime.

On the other hand, if you are voting Republican kindly go die in a fire. I don't want to hear from you, we won't get along.

I probably show up as a high match for poly people - this is because I am open-minded and have had poly relationships in the past. I am currently looking for a primary partner, and I am not interested in being a secondary partner to anyone. Smooches! Have fun with your polycule, I might want to hang out sometime because we probably WOULD get along, but probably just in a platonic kind of way. :)
