My self-summary
As an amatuer writer, staring at a blank piece of paper (or space on here, it seems) is a very intimidating situation. So I guess I will start at the beginning. My name is Kiri Michelle. Most call me Kiri. My Mom calls me Chelle.

I'm in love with Jesus, and my faith is something I value. Its deeply personal, so I am not the type that will force it on you; however, I am always open to talking about it.

I've been single for quite a while, and frankly, if I had my way, cuddling on the couch with a good man and a snuggie would be a great alternative to scratching my dog's tummy while watching Criminal Minds reruns on A&E.

I have my own place, and I work a lot. When I'm not working, I'm usually at the house with the radio on doing something, whether it is working on my writing, cooking, or doing chores.

I like to fish. And shoot pool. And shoot guns. And cook. And clean. I would make a country-fied but slightly sophisticated June Cleaver type.

I love to laugh. I'm often the one that makes a fool of myself to bring a smile to someone else.

And before you even think that this profile is gonna be all roses and sunshine, I will be real with you. I have my moments. I get depressed and moody and cranky. And while its generally kept at a minimum, I refuse to pretend that there aren't some days where life just sucks.

I am a very open and transparent person, which is something I've found makes others either really uncomfortable or draws them to me. I'm honest to a fault at times, so please, ask at your own risk.

Communication is super important to me. If you can't manage a five minute conversation about "real" stuff without freaking out, I'm probably not your girl. Granted, I can talk, but I love to listen. Learning stuff about other people and really connecting is what life is all about, right?
What I’m doing with my life
I just transitioned to a new job a couple months ago. I've realized that my passion is taking care of people, especially the elderly. I just have a heart for them. I currently work with an in-home healthcare company.

I love my job, but I would like to make this my career, so I will be starting CNA classes soon. Ultimately, I would like to have my hands in some form of geriatric counseling.

I am also a writer. I self-published my first book last year, and I am currently working on book #2 and brainstorming for title #3.
I’m really good at
Generally, I'm quite a humble person. However, since I'm being asked to toot ny own horn, here goes. I'm generally good at most things, especially if its academic or nerdy in nature. I did fail to reach the top of the rock wall that one time as I have an unexplainable phobia of heights over 2 feet off the ground. Not a runner either unless there's a big rabid dog chasing me. Oh, and baking cakes from scratch--eh, ill stick with the box mix.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile. Or my goofy laugh. Its kinda squeaky and hearty and cute all at the same time.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books/Authors: A Tale of Two Cities, The Bible, Janet Evanovich, Anne Tyler, Crossroads, The Shack, Beth Moore, Joyce Meyer.

Music: country, christian contemporary, classic rock, simon & garfunkel, 80s hair bands.

I've never been to a concert. True story.

Food: not sushi, brussel sprouts, or really spicy stuff.
Six things I could never do without
Holy Spirit. My sense of taste. Writing. Singing. Laughter. Indoor plumbing.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Mundane stuff like getting my laundry done and figuring out how long the low feul light can stay on til I actually have to get gas.

Crazy stuff like how I wish I had the nerve to walk up to that handsome guy in walmart to say hello, but decide not to do it cause he might think I'm crazy, or worse.

Important stuff like knowing how amazing it is to have such an awesome God.
On a typical Friday night I am
Friday nights don't really mean the same thing as they used to. They aren't really different at all to be honest, except I can go to bed knowing I don't have to hit an alarm the next morning. However, my bladder usually makes that fact a moot point. Lol.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
While I'm not a size 2, I am comfortable with my body. Do I wish there weren't stretch marks? Sure. But I don't really even notice 'em anymore, cause they've been there forever. Have I tried to smooth out the pudginess? Of course. Spanx make me laugh. At some point, the man you are trying to impress will want you to get naked. Its so much less stressful to realize we all have our insecurities, and I have every right to be okay with me.
You should message me if
You read all of this and still thought, "Hmmm. Perhaps I should say hello."
