My self-summary
Fun-loving, adventurous, creative. I like hiking, camping, playing volleyball and spending the day inside playing xbox. I work out daily. I'm very outdoorsy - just got back from a couple weeks in Hawaii where I dived, hiked, and surfed my little heart out. Love big dogs, cooking, working on my car, playing guitar, travelling, trying new things. Constantly searching for new books, music, and art to devour. Recently took up longboarding as I needed a new way to frustrate myself. In the near future I'd like to learn how to ride a motorcycle, travel (maybe Africa?) and explore a part of Brooklyn that I've never been to before. Have lived in both Mérida, Mexico and Barcelona; frequently in California - just generally into travelling. I've been called a sweetheart and a tomboy - I'll bring cookies to guys'-only-except-Laura poker and blunts night; I curse like a drunken sailor and drink Bourbon while cooking in a frilly apron. I'll wear red lipstick to match the black eye I got from a fistfight with my brother (fortunately the frequency of this has decreased in recent years). I frequently bake sweets for my favorite bartenders. I went to a strip club for my 21st birthday after having a tea party. I tell dirty jokes but respond with "that's so bad!" when other people do.
What I’m doing with my life
Full-time fancy cocktail bartender (at least that's what my business cards say). Taking the sommelier certification exam in March and kind of freaking out about it.
I’m really good at
Baking/cooking, most artistic pursuits, scuba diving, making drinks, drag racing.
The first things people usually notice about me
My 3rd arm. It makes shopping for shirts so hard :( :(

No. Actually. Probably my height or that I snort when I laugh too hard.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Blood Meridian, Galápagos, Brave New World, Tropic of Cancer, Lolita, Prometheus Unbound, The Passage, American Psycho, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Middlesex, The Terror, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I can't read enough.

Movies: Airplane, The Big Lebowski, Fight Club, Goodfellas, Sin Nombre, No Country For Old Men, Blow, The Royal Tenenbaums (bonus round: auditioned for role of young Margot when I was 11), Apocalypse Now, Adaptation, American Beauty.

Shows: Arrested Development, Star Trek, the X Files, Game of Thrones, The Wire, The Walking Dead.

Music: This is really hard because I love music. I guess for the sake of answering this, the last 10 artists I listened to were: Talking Heads, Creedence Clearwater Revival, John Mayer Trio, Crystal Castles, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Yeasayer, Reign State, Four Tet, Toots and the Maytals, My Bloody Valentine. I am well-versed in Wu Tang Clan. I like going to shows at Cake Shop.

Food: If music was hard, this is impossible. Put simply, I love to cook and I love to eat (fortunately I also love to exercise, otherwise that would be a deadly combo). While I have discerning tastes - I like food that tastes good - I'm not picky when it comes to rarity/exclusivity of ingredients or what kind of food something is. I like a $7 Indian buffet as much as making a nice béarnaise.
Six things I could never do without
Good food (bonus points to dessert)
My phone - how did I live without being able to look up completely random facts at the least opportune times?
My dog, a black pug named Trousers
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whether or not I can turn the lights off after watching the X-Files, what to make for dinner, travel destinations, ideas for art, how to avoid OKCupid.
On a typical Friday night I am
Working! But on a night where I don't have to work the next day, I'm either cooking dinner for myself and friends, going out to my favorite bar or trying out a new place, playing pool...or baking cookies and loading up my Netflix queue. Depends on what I'm in the mood for.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am carbon based. I spent the first 8 years of my life living on a submarine circling the Beaufort Sea. I'm sometimes capable of not being sarcastic.
You should message me if
complete sentences are your friend, you're fine with me cooing at every dog I see on the street, and can give out the sarcasm as good as you can take it.
