My self-summary
In the last couple years, I've done quite a few things for the first time that might have been enhanced by having someone special in my life to have shared them with. They include:

Adventure Racing
Buying a house
Learned to ride a motorcycle (bought a '79 Honda for practice)
Rode the motorcycle on the Great River Road to get some Grafton catfish
Introductory flying lessons (airplane and helicopter)
Spent 10 days in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area
Went 4-wheeling at St. Joe park
Went to the 4 day Country Thunder music festival in Wisconsin
First international vacation, to Cancún, Mexico
Cold weather float trip (wasn't actually that cold this time though)
Cardinals postseason game
Saw Trans Siberian Orchestra, Straight No Chaser, and the Rat Pack Christmas show
What I’m doing with my life
There's plenty of things left on my bucket list, and some of these things I'd do again. Surrounding these highlights are work, running a home and my various hobbies. I've got a good idea what I want to be doing this year, and five years from now. 30 is the new 25 and I still intend to have some fun before I want to start a family. I'm looking for someone who isn't set on having a baby on the way by tomorrow, but I do want to start a family at some point.
I’m really good at
my job, or so I'm told. Also quoting Christmas Vacation, The Princess Bride, and a handful of other movies from the 80s.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'd like to think it's my charming personality but it's probably my receding hairline. But I hear that's an appealing feature so I guess it's OK either way.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I don't read as much as I should but I was always a fan of Michael Chrichton, and Tolkien. Would love to read some of the classics eventually.

I watch too many movies, so it's hard to pick a favorite. I have seen Princess Bride too many times. Set me in front of a Tarantino/Rodriguez flick or even a Marx brothers comedy and I'm good to go.

The League! Also these days, I follow Grimm, Doctor Who, The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Sherlock, Misfits, Suits, Franklin and Bash, Two and a Half Men...that's probably about it.

I love pasta. Also a fan of home style cooking, if it's fried it's probably worth eating. My lunches cycle between Italians, Korean, Chinese, Indian, Mexican, steak sandwiches, and cooked to order burgers. I make the occasional breakfast burritos or delicious omelets.

My music tastes might be broader than my taste in movies. Having the ability to hear pretty much any music you want nowadays via Youtube or the like makes that absurdly easy. I still listen to the radio (mostly 89.1), but my music player is also filled with country, classic rock, a little pop, techno, really anything I could tap my feet to. Even classical when I'm feeling super pompous. Daft Punk and Johnny Cash are recurring themes on my playlist.
Six things I could never do without
A good friend
A challenge
Racquetball (and yet somehow I'm managing)
An opinion
Barbecue (especially Pappy's or Sugarfire)
Wikipedia - I'm addicted
Something to laugh at (7 things, oh no the OKC police are going to get me)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
where I put the thing that was in my hands 5 seconds ago, or why I walked into the next room.
On a typical Friday night I am
At a bonfire, or the pool hall, or in a hot tub, or watching movies, or firing up the grill, or working on a side project, or out with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have been on the TV once describing what the tornado sounded like. I was 12. I've since been through another tornado, the one that tore up Lambert.
You should message me if
you're down to sit and watch a good thunderstorm, shoot some 9 ball, pop some rounds off at the shooting range, float trip down the Black River, go see the Cardinals, sleep under the stars, watch a movie, especially all in the course of a weekend.
