My self-summary
I am honest to a fault. I tend to fight for the underdog. I am emotionally perceptive, so there no point in trying to be dishonest with me. I am funny, if you like sarcastic humor. I am highly intelligent. I am happiest when I feel I have helped those around me in some way.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently a bill collector. It pays the bills and finances the really important parts of my life...the time I spend with my friends and family.
I’m really good at
almost anything I am interested in provided it does not require too much coordination or the ability to put a jigsaw puzzle together. I am good at hearing what people say and do not say. I have been told I give good advise. I am good at making people laugh. I make bath products from scratch. I have an avid interest in history, archeology, mythology, sociology, and rocks. I really enjoy reading both novels and reference books. Sorry guys, but no, I cannot cook.
The first things people usually notice about me
I am not sure. I have never taken a survey. Maybe you can tell me once we meet.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Chocolate, chocolate, and did I mention chocolate?
Book: Red as Blood by Tanith Lee
Movie: The Princess Bride
The six things I could never do without
My cats (only two and no I do not want anymore...I am waiting to be the crazy cat lady until I am a little older.) After all, pets are like having cuddles on tap.

My lapidary collection. Okay, so the rocks are not exactly functional, but they are pretty and shiny and sparkly. My precious! (And if you realized that was a Lord of the Rings reference...I like you already.)

My music. It is a shorter list of the type of music I do not like which is rap and country.

And to round out the list food, water, shelter.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what is fate versus what is coincidence. That time is our most precious resource (since we can never make more of it) and that we should really spend it doing what we love and with the people we care about it. How societies evolve and change. How religion and more broadly belief as well as the emotions of the individual can dramatically change the course of a society's governing structure. The causes of emotional idiosyncrasies of people around me. You know...light stuff like that. ;)
On a typical Friday night I am
Watching a movie or reading a book. I might take a quiet walk or have dinner with a friend. I do like to dance, but I prefer a drum circle to a noisy dance club. Basicly, I really do enjoy a quiet evening at home or at a friend's house.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Yes, I have read romance novels, but I promise I have never been gullible enough to believe a word.
You should message me if
you find me intriguing or failing that at least interesting. If you are a considerate person with some regard to the feelings of others. If you are the type of person who knows what they want and are not afraid to go after it. And above all else, if you are an honest person who can make me laugh. If you live locally, and have your own transportation.
