My self-summary
Been living in NYC for 12 years - no better place to live. I worked in film/television for years, now I work at an ad agency. I’m a huge film buff and like to write. I’m really into comedy (sketches, improv...everyday life). I have a chill personality, but I'm pretty active (run half marathons, kickbox, soccer, surfing) as well. I find self-summaries indulgent and difficult, so this is all you get for now.
What I’m doing with my life
Feeding the hungry. Sheltering the homeless. Clothing the naked. Recycling. Just kidding...although I do recycle. I guess I’m doing everything I can with it. One foot in front of the other.
I’m really good at
Everything except punctuality. If I had to pick ONE thing, I guess it’d be "reading vibes."
The first things people usually notice about me
That I’m funny. (See previous answers).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I’m pretty obsessed with film and (good) television shows. The lists are long, so this’ll just give you the gist...

Movies - Drive, In Bruges, Shame, Black Swan, Blue Valentine, Dark Knight, Thor, Network, Royal Tenebaums (Wes Anderson’s so great), Almost Famous, Pineapple Express, Clue, Stand by Me, Old School, Adaptation, The Exorcist, Closer, 70s films, Steve McQueen movies, anything Tarantino, Horror movies

Shows - 30 Rock, Arrested Development, Louie, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Parks & Recreation, Broad City, Inside Amy Schumer, Saturday Night Live, American Horror Story, Mad Men, Modern Family, Veep, Seinfeld

Music - I’m a classic rock guy. Love the Stones, the Beatles, Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Blue Oyster Cult (Don’t Fear the Reaper is the best song ever), U2. I’m always down for some Jay-Z or Kanye. The Killers are pretty sweet.

Books - To Kill A Mockingbird, The Last Picture Show, Ordinary People...apparently I haven’t read a current novel.
The six things I could never do without
1) Movies (and some TV shows)
2) Laptop (and internet access) - I lasted 4 full days and nights without during Hurricane Sandy. It was a fun experiment that I never want to repeat.
3) Privileges - see how I took them above? (in parenthesis)
4) Alcohol - Yup...I know how that sounds. Yup...still mean it.
4) Running shoes
6) A tooth brush
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend a lot of time thinking about everything really...it’s pretty exhausting.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with friends, probably at a bar...although after a long week, sometimes nothing sounds better than a low key movie night. This is everyone's answer to this question, is it not?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don’t address private matters in essay format.
You should message me if
You got through this whole thing.
