My self-summary
update, i may have just run back to new mexico. home in santa fe but still in the circus and...

An American girl, run away to England to join the circus? Here in Bristol for a bit, and the city's a nut I can't quite crack. Have you got the secret code?

Prior to running away with the circus, I managed a Spanish tapas restaurant in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and before that I worked for a non-profit helping farmers and ranchers market their products locally. I've had the great fortune of experiencing many different ways of being in the world, and I look forward to continually finding more, although it might be about that time in life to look for depth rather than breadth...

I am generally curious about the universe, eager to explore the world (inner and outer), am fascinated by people of all different sorts (take particular joy in mundane interactions with strangers), try to understand rather than judge, am a bit of hedonist--seeking to find the greatest pleasure in the smallest of things. I love art and artists, intelligent conversation and adventures big and small.
What I’m doing with my life
performing, teaching, learning french, finding sunshine in soggy places.
I’m really good at
Throwing dinner parties, walking on my hands, being from New Mexico, asking questions better answered with silence.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile, which sometimes threatens to take over my whole face, or perhaps my right eyebrow which tends to leave the left behind,
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I will read Dharma Bums, Franny and Zooey, and Narcissus and Goldmund every year for the rest of my life, I hope. I love anything by Isabel Allende, especially in Spanish. Just read Immortality by Milan Kundera, and am currently reading a book on Fermat's Last Theorem. I read old New Yorkers from the library and often have a nice dose of Neruda before bed.

I rarely spend time in front of screens when I don't have to, but when I do I watch foreign films, or old eighties movies, or things that take me places I've never been.

Musically I'm eclectic. Lately I've been really into Hot Chip, Kishi Bashi, the National, and Beats Antique. Some all-time favorites include: Beirut, Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen, Modest Mouse, the Doors, Bjork, Calle 13, Beastie Boys, Blackalicious, Fleetwood Mac, Velvet Underground.

I love food, almost as much aesthetically as gastronimically. I can spend hours looking at vegetables in market stands. I am also passionate about bread, and will eat a whole loaf in a sitting if permitted. And chocolate, and chile (New Mexican green, please), and dumplings, and tapas, and green papaya salad, and, and, and....
The six things I could never do without
My friends, my family, the mystery of existence, vegetables, circus, learning new things.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What it means to be alive...what I am offering to this lovely planet..my friends near and far...the possible existence of a beautiful man who wants to take me out...what you Brits really mean by the word "cheeky"...if i can be a franciscan monk when i grow up...why i enjoy using ellipses so much...
On a typical Friday night I am
Traaching after roo much training, and itching to go out dancing!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a slight fear of men that look like men rather than grown up boys, and also have a secret crush on men in airports in suits who are probably too old and too right-wing for me.
You should message me if
you like a girl that do a handstand and talk about nietzche (maybe at the same time?).
