My self-summary
I have a very full life, both professionally and personally, and live very well in my own skin. I work in Human Resources for a very cool not-for-profit In Downtown Manhattan and love what I do.

Born and raised in Moscow, but I have been in the US for over 13 years, and I am a US Citizen. I am just as much a New Yorker as I am a Moscovite, even though I don't live in either place.

I believe in the therapeutic power of laughter, long and short road trips, good books, chocolate and cooking for the one I love.

My exercise routine is not likely to impress a true fitness fanatic. I find most gym-related activities mind-numbingly boring. Having confessed that, I do walk two salukis (who can run at 40 miles per hour) for at least 1 hour a day. This form of exercise has the added bonus of hearing “you have beautiful dogs” at least once a day – and on most days, my hair still looks better than theirs!

I will try everything that is legal at least once. However, some favorites are good conversation, getting dirty renovating my quirky old house, experimenting in the kitchen, reading anything from "The Nine" to junk, and spending time with friends.

If you share any of my beliefs and interests, please write me – don’t just browse. That way we can begin by knowing the courage of our convictions.
What I’m doing with my life
I am living it!!!
I’m really good at
Asking questions
Making lemonade, limoncello and lemon pies from life’s occasional lemons
The first things people usually notice about me
I am blond and I have an accent. Don’t let either of these 2 things fool you!
I smile often, I blush easily and I am resourceful.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I can read just about anything. I do read just about anything.
Movies- love Forrest Gump, My cousin Vinnie, Moonstruck and lots of others.
Music – anything that is not rap.
Food – will try anything at least once goes for this category as well.
The six things I could never do without
1. Coffee, tea, cheese, chocolate, chocolate and chocolate (Oops! Did I just spend all six?! I hope OKCupid doesn’t have a “Six Things Police” unit!)
2. Family & friends here in United States and around the globe, therefore I also can’t live without my cell phone and Skype as they let me stay connected to family & friends everywhere.
3. The work I do.
4. Love! Being in it, feeling it, experiencing someone feeling it towards me, making it, learning from it, enjoying it, working on it once it is found.
5. My dogs. Every time a dog in my life passed away I had made a vow not to get another one… and every time that promise got broken. Dogs somehow wiggle their way into my life.
6. Reading and learning.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Ask me & will tell you at that moment. It changes too often.
On a typical Friday night I am
Plan my next weekend house remodeling project. Would love to spend it going to catch a play, a ballet, a jazz performance or a decent movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I can’t dance to save my life, if you are looking for a dance partner, pass me by or buy a pair of steel dancing shoes and I may join you on a dance floor.
You should message me if
I am looking for:
- A man, not a boy. Though a man with a playful boyish side will score a few bonus points.
- Straight, smart & single. Divorced or widowed qualifies as single, confused about multiple relationships one is in does not.

Do you know how they say 50 is the new 40?? Well for me, smart is the new sexy. There is nothing more attractive to me than a man who leads with his brain. It’s definitely a good thing if what follows the brain is sensual and communicative as well.
Whether you call it baggage or life experience, it’s what makes us who we are today and without it, we’d be pretty shallow and boring. If you are like me, you read 20 profiles to find the one that yields the engaging follow-up conversation that makes you want to run to the corner and meet.
While English is a second language for me and I am not the best writer… literate goes hand-in- hand with smart in my book.
