My self-summary
I am looking to connect with thoughtful, interesting people to have adventures with, not necessarily criminal in nature. It would be great to find someone to meander or hike through the city and the country, to laze around with, to go to farmers markets and make yummy meals with; to bicycle with, to go to museums and galleries with; to take in the occasional movie with; and to talk endlessly about the world, our inner lives, and everything in between. The simple things are what I most appreciate.

Also, I don't have wanderlust. I like to travel, and have been to quite a few places, in the last couple years it's been Belgium, the Netherlands, Iceland, Mexico, Seattle, and Vancouver. I also want to have a home and am not looking for escape artists. I'm a New York native (Queens to be exact), but have lived in Montreal and Philly, as well.
What I’m doing with my life
I have a decent amount of energy and love to do a lot of things. My work is usually cerebral, so I like to do a lot of physical stuff outside of it. That may mean going on bike rides, going to farmers markets, going kayaking, going for jogs, going for long walks in the city or hikes in nature, walking to a far subway stop just to get in a walk. I also like building stuff: building shelves, building tables, mounting things on walls. I'm taking a ceramics class right now, working on cups and pots, so that's fun. I'm also into making food for friends and sharing meals and drinks, and drinking beer/whiskey/wine including port lately. I also am getting into fermenting various foods. As for work, I am a psychologist; I work for a hospital and also do private practice. I am pretty into my work and ideally you should be into your work too.
I’m really good at
Apparently OKC thinks I'm pretty independent, and I guess there's some truth to that insofar as I am a bit of a Jack of A Decent Number of Trades, but at the same time, I am interested in connecting with someone, and rely on them just as much as they rely on me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This is not really important... I'm pretty open to varied tastes in media, food, music...not that I don't have my preferences, but to call something a favorite reinforces the narrowing of possibilities.

At the same time, I gravitate towards nonfiction that opens my mind to theories and ideas. I recently read Capital in the 21st Century, which was dry, but kind of amazing. Also, a month or so ago I was reading a lot of books on feminism; and I would consider myself one. Women are human, it's not such a crazy idea.

Now, I'm working my way through the classic The Life and Death of Great American Cities. Also the news - it's hard not to pay attention to this 10 car pileup that is the current administration.
