SECOND: don't send a like, send a message. I'm not interested in paying for "A-list", so don't bother cause I won't see it.
My name is Shane.
I have lived in WA my whole life and yes I love the rain.
I grew up in a family of cooks, basically if you came through the door on thanksgiving day without something that you cooked from scratch, you were stopped at the door. My original dreams were to be a better cook than my grandma.
So I went to culinary school, graduated, worked in the industry for the past 7 yrs now, and I would like to be done with it.
Even with the $15 - hr law coming into view, I can't support a family (someday) on that kind of salary.
I joined the US Air Force on Sept 19, 2014. ASM > Aircraft Structural Maintenance was going to be my job. But half way through BMT, during a training exercise, I learned that I was a conscientious objector based on the fact that "I couldn't pull the trigger based on orders alone".
I was ELS SEP. , came home, and started thinking of what to do next.
I grew up without knowing who my father was until I was 13, and even then I realized that he wasn't much of a father to have left his responsibilities. I do still love him though, even if he is not a christian.
I do think of it as a positive thing for me though, because now I have something to aim for. To be a better dad than a lot of guys out there today who don't take responsibility for there actions and who refer to themselves as men.
And also to maybe be a father figure to a kid out there who never had a father either, so they don't have to grow up without one like I did. Just to hear a child say "i love you too daddy" to me, that would just melt me.
Movies: Babette's Feast, Big Night, Black Hawk Down, Food Inc., listening, chronicle, Iron man, Kate and Leopold, chocolat, district B13
Music: I like all kinds of music except most western/country and most rap/ hip hop. (i.e. if they swear every other word, its not music, it's turettes)
Food: just about everything... except cherries and oysters. it's a taste thing. I definitely eat things that are not "American" though, like tripe and blood sausage.
a purpose in life
leaving my comfort zone.
what to learn next.
never went to prom (homeschooled)
but then again, I'm not like most guys.
don't like the taste of beer (I'm a hard cider guy)
don't play or watch any sports
and I've never been to or never want to go to a "strip club"
so, there are + and - to me.
