Fine, that's not really true, not entirely... I love Portland, I've been living here for almost nine years. Initially I came for graduate school but I stayed for the people. It is refreshing to live in a community where you can be as odd as you like and people don't just tolerate you they embrace your quirks.
One of the best things is that I work a traditionally conservative job and never have to dress for my clients. They don't care if I wear shorts and a t-shirt as long as I do a good job (and I do)! Judging anyone in Portland without getting to know them is fraught with peril.
INTJ if that helps you relate at all.
Dressing up like a clown and peering into the windows of my friends and family, you know, for fun...
I read quite a bit. Sometimes it is months between books and other times I stay up until the wee hours of the morning forgoing quality sleep for just one more chapter and then one more chapter and just one last chapter. Right now it's Steven Erikson but before that it was Alexander McCall Smith. I like pretty much everything but I'm back in a fantasy phase right now.
I'm musically retarded. It's true, I really don't notice it is everyday life. NPR is always on in my car instead.
Oh, and alliterative devices...
