My self-summary
Hi! My name's Andrew, and I am a certifiable nice guy with a keen sense of adventure and a quirky sense of humor. I'm just finishing up at UC Berkeley--one semester to go!

Fun facts:

1. I'm a huge fan of the outdoors, and am always on the lookout for a new hiking/climbing/kayaking buddy.

2. I live in coffee shops.

3. I'm an aspiring beer snob.

4. I code things for fun--sometimes they pay me for it, which is awesome.

5. I make some pretty mean carnitas.

6. I apparently like lists.

tl;dr: I like to do fun things--come do them with me!
What I’m doing with my life
Adventuring, programming and enjoying myself on a daily basis.
I’m really good at
skiing, cookie baking (and eating!), hiking/backpacking, coding things
The first things people usually notice about me
My laugh? Maybe? Tricky question OkCupid, tricky question.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music: My tastes range from EDM to bluegrass, classic rock, funk, jazz and hard rock. I confuse myself sometimes. I have a soft spot for bluegrass covers of hip-hop songs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4hGSR5njZE--not a rickroll, I swear)

I'm something of a sci-fi fan--I grew up reading Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke, and watching Star Trek (TNG all the way!). In terms of more recent stuff, I loved Firefly, and just recently got hooked on Battlestar Galactica (I know, I'm behind the times there). Having grown up on him, I am, of course, a Harry Potter buff.

My favorite sci-fi novel has to be Snowcrash (a badass hacker with swords--it's a geek dream come true).

I'll read pretty much anything, but I find myself particularly drawn to the bizzarre in novels; I love Kurt Vonnegut, and enjoyed Waiting For Godot and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead way back in high school.

If I could only eat the food of one culture for the rest of my life, it would have to be Thai food. That stuff is delicious. Otherwise, I will eat anything--I am incredibly omnivorous.
The six things I could never do without
Good friends, sunshine, mountains, my laptop, Sriracha hot sauce, peanut butter cookies :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What would Don Draper do? Where the hell did I put my glasses? And (inspired by xkcd) what object could I use as a weapon in case the lady behind the counter pulls a katana?
On a typical Friday night I am
Enjoying a lively conversation with some close friends over a nice dark beer, curled up with a good movie (and ideally a good cuddle buddy)
or hacking on something random.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I tend to mutter to myself in lolspeak/memes. I also call everyone bro while driving. A recent example of both:

Bro, y u no let me in?? (to the old lady in the lane next to me).

I have no explanation for any of this.
