My self-summary
I'm a compsci RHIT grad software developer. Also I have a corgi. That's very important. The username is a pun, I know how to spell. Mostly.
What I’m doing with my life
I rotate on personal projects like it's a second job. Home roasting coffee, building an arcade joystick, learning to play guitar, cooking misadventures... generally anything crafty or science/engineering related will interest me. My current dream is to be successful enough in my career that I can buzz off abroad for months at a time. Y'know, really get immersed in the culture. Learn the language. Eat too much cheese. Get struck with Stendhal syndrome and be fished out of the Seine.
I’m really good at
Computers. Beep boop. Rambling passionately. Polite snobbishness. Baking flan.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have red hair! Wowzers!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Count of Monte Cristo, Catch-22, Fight Club. I also read a lot of nonfiction, like Noam Chomsky and 'Guns Germs and Steel'

Movies: Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Memento, The Butterfly Effect (yes, with Ashton Kutcher, not as ashamed as I should be), Jiro Dreams of Sushi, anything MST3K, American Psycho, Chris Farley movies, Kung Pow: Enter the Fist

Music: Really wide and varied range. Hair metal, electronica, bluegrass, baroque, brit rock, chiptunes, anything blues. I'll just list some random artists: Metallica, The Arctic Monkeys, Dubmood, Infected Mushroom, Trampled By Turtles, The Idea of North, Thelonius Monk, Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
General philosophy/sociology - the way people polarize nearly every discussion to two extremes. How we unconsciously desire conformity to groups and threshold ourselves to different social strata. The way we seek to divide and hate on differences rather than learn from and admire them. The illusion of asymmetric insight in general.

I daydream a lot. My spirit animal is the rhino.
On a typical Friday night I am
Honestly? Sitting at home experimenting with cocktails and snuggling with my dog on the couch. In Terre Haute your options are either that or go get smashed in a bar, and I've got better liquor at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I love the color pink and my favorite flowers are tulips. Yellow tulips. Orchids are also lovely.
You should message me if
If you're looking to chat, and if your idea of a perfect date is watching B-horror movies and drinking expensive beer. Or coffee. Or rockclimbing!

... or if you live in Terre Haute and have a pulse.
