My self-summary
Well, you may have guessed my name is Cory.

I'm a filmmaker new to the business and new to New Orleans. I like to think I'm a pretty cool guy to be around, if not a little shy, at first. I can be horribly cheesy. I'm a forever optimist, and hopeless romantic. Love to watch movies (for work and pleasure), listen to live music, be outside, and explore New Orleans. I'm working on getting healthy, so I love to be outside.

Being in the film industry, I do have to work long hours, but I love what I do so it's worth it. Work stays at work. I enjoy myself when I'm not there.

What I’m doing with my life
Work. Movies. Reading. Being Awkward. Figuring out life.
I’m really good at
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes are the thing I usually get complimented on, or the fact that I'm pretty shy at first.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
There are just way too many movies, tv shows, books, and bands to list. My tastes are always evolving, expanding, and changing. I'm grateful for that. I would love to talk about the ones you're interested in and see what we have in common.

Some current movies I enjoy are: Drive, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Fight Club, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Her, Jerry Maguire, The Master, Nightcrawler, Notting HIll, Seven Psychopaths.

Some shows I enjoy: Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested Development, The Goldbergs, Modern Family, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Silicon Valley

Some music I'm listening to right now: Passion Pit, The 1975, Modest Mouse, Pity Sex, the Soundtrack to whatever movie I just saw and loved.

Books I'm less versed in, but would love to change that. I'm more into just stories that can envelop me, so it won't be a real literature lover's kind of list but some stuff I like are: Ready Player One - Ernest Cline, The Perks of Being a Wallflower - Stephen Chbosky, Harry Potter - JK Rowling, A Wild Sheep Chase - Haruki Murakami

Food: I'm trying to eat better, but I still have a sore spot for pizza, mexican food, and most italian foods.
Six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Love. Being a better version of myself. Nature. My dog (who lives with my mom). Happiness.
On a typical Friday night I am
not having a typical Friday night. Since moving to New Orleans, nothing has been typical, and I hope it stays that way.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is that I'm harder on myself than anyone else ever has been or ever will be.
You should message me if
you want to get a drink sometime, share a pizza, watch a good (or bad) movie, or if I interest you
