My self-summary
I hate these things. I think one of the hardest things to do is to summarize ones self. So in a word I would say geek would be the appropriate term. I love to read, watch movies, play video games, explore the outdoors(urban exploring not so much), and more recently driving(though that whole gas costing an arm and a leg kinda sucks.).

I am geeky, shy, and humorous
What I’m doing with my life
Ive recently graduated with my BA in biology. At the moment Im working as a tree surveyor looking for an invasive insect. I just moved to the area, so im currently getting adjusted as well.
I’m really good at
In terms of a hobby Id have to say video games. Years of practice on the nintendo/xbox would make anyone good at video games. Geeky I know, but better to know now rather then later. Im also good at listening to people and offering support.
The first things people usually notice about me
Most likely that Im pretty quiet. I get a little nervous around new people and that usually puts a clamp on my mouth till I get to know them a little better. Then again not exactly the something I would know
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite books consist of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Mortal Coil, Da Vinci Code, Sword of Truth series, Ender's Game, Ender's Shadow, and others.
Favorite movies usually consist of action, especially that of superheroes, robots, space battles, and/or Bruce Willis. Im going to have to label myself a typical guy in that respect. Though the occasional romantic comedy show up in my netflix cue, such as Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist, or 10 Things I Hate About You
TV: dont watch a lot of tv when its on air, tend to rent seasons and watch the episodes in rapid succession after the come out. Recently its been Arrested Development, earlier Heroes seasons(it gets kinda silly during season 3, and 4 is outright ridiculous). As long as it has a good, mostly straightfoward story arc I enjoy it (things like Lost are just way too random for my taste).
Favorite music is hardcore rock, and no that is not quite like death metal. Think Three Days Grace or Shinedown.
In terms of food, I cant think of any one thing. I like to try new things, so as long as its not Indian, or consist of beans, Im good.
Six things I could never do without
A good book. When all else fails theres nothing like falling into a alternate universe and getting involved in a story. Its amazing how many hours can pass in just a few hundred pages.
Movies. Same as above except easier to visualize and a much more social experience then burying yourself in a book.
The internet.
Nature and the outdoors. I think I would go insane if I was forced to live inside the rest of my days. Theres nothing better than the summer breeze or a sunset on a beach.
Friends and family. While I can manage on my own, its always nice to talk to someone.
Chocolate, I have a major sweet-tooth
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Can't say theres any one particular thing that I think about to the exclusion of all else. It changes with time, weather, season, etc.
On a typical Friday night I am
Theres a decent chance Im at work, but if I have the night off itll usually be me, maybe some friends, and a movie, cardgame, and/or boardgame, perhaps with a few beers involved. On occasion those things might be replaced by a trip to the local bar. As long as Im not being forced to dance Im usually up for adventures/misadventures or whatever else might happen.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Hey gotta save something for conversations down the road, so nothing for this question right now.
You should message me if
If find this profile interesting at all, obvious I know, but why else would anyone message me.
