My self-summary
Bohemian funny girl at heart. Grounded in the working world. Well-traveled, but still ripe for adventure. I also crave my creature comforts – a beautiful, cozy home, cuppa' tea, glass of wine, a homemade dinner. (Fresh from the farmer's market.) In love with nature, literature, music, art, dancing, yoga, hiking, movies – and occasionally the right man. Can dress up for the theater or down for a night staring up at the moon and stars. Witty. Wise. Loyal. Sophisticated, but down to earth. If you're going to hang out with me, you better be super smart and ready for some snappy repartee.
What I’m doing with my life
Being creative. Helping people and businesses make their dreams come true. Volunteering when I can. Blues dancing. Painting & collage. Writing short stories & haikus.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh. Art & writing. Cooking. Connecting people. And connecting people and ideas. Spreading love. Taking risks. Lifelong friendships. Listening. Giving. And receiving.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile. My eyes. My laugh. My friendliness and warmth. My open heart.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read a lot. Lots of favorites. Right now, I'm reading The Luminaries (Booker award winner.) Recently read: The Orphan Master's Son and The Paying Guests (yes, I keep one audio book going in the car and an old-fashioned book by the bed). In the last few years, favorites were: The Girl in the Road, Goldfinch (I'm a Donna Tartt fan), The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, City of Thieves; Visit from the Goon Squad; Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter and Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. Favorite writers: Philip Roth, Amy Bloom, Michael Chabon, Barbara Kingsolver, Ann Patchett, etc.

Top 3 movies: Bladerunner, Casablanca, The Godfather, but there are so many more I love from classics to edgy indies, docs to foreign films. Ready for Full Frame? [Full disclosure: I used to be in the film & tv business.]

Music rocks my world, from Beatles to Bach, Joni to Allison Krause, alternative rock & roots (Ryan Adams, Neko Case, Ray LaMontagne) to Pearl Jam. Jazz & Classical too. Mix it up with some Indian ragas and kirtan music. Very eclectic taste and open to all genres.

Food: You're likely to bump into me at a farmers market once or twice a week because there is nothing like fresh, locally grown food. I also enjoy farm-to-table restaurants and a wide variety of ethnic cuisine.
The six things I could never do without
My MacBook Pro. A sexy pen. Lush, green trees surrounding me. Music (the food of love). Yoga keeps me sane. And my friends. (Not necessarily in that order.) Now dance makes seven, kind of a baker's half dozen.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My dream house. Words and ideas. How to save the world (in my own small way). What I want to do for the next 10 years and how to start doing it now. My family and the people I love.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out having dinner or a glass of wine with friends. Blues dancing. Visiting galleries. Walking around whatever downtown I'm in if the weather is warm enough. Seeing a movie, play or listening to live music. People watching or stargazing. Driving or flying off to a weekend getaway.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I still feel like I'm no more than 35 most of the time. Younger even. Gotta time machine?
You should message me if
You are kind, generous, witty and open-hearted. You must be physically active, eat healthy and take good care of yourself. You earn extra points if you like to dance or are at least willing to try. If you love hiking, movies, music and art, I'm starting to fall. If you can make me laugh – I'm yours.
