I moved to Fairbanks in September for a postdoc at UAF. My research focuses on modeling the population dynamics and evolutionary ecology of salmon and other species. I'm an avid snowboarder and packrafter. I'm up-beat and despise negativity. I'm most at home in the wilderness, but don't mind a good night of live music and good friends in the city. I enjoy climbing trees, reading in hammocks and an afternoon in a good coffee shop.
Studying and working at the nexus of math and ecology, and loving every minute of it.
What I wish I was doing (sometimes):
Traveling the country in a 1980's Volkswagon van (pop-top) seeking the endless winter. I need a copilot for this adventure, let me know if you might be interested.
A Short History of Nearly Everything, A Farewell to Arms, A Walk in the Woods, The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test.
Cool Hand Luke, Dazed and Confused, Tombstone, The Great Escape, Interview with the Vampire, The Longest Day.
An excuse to get outside of the city,
