My self-summary
I'm a lady who enjoys a great many things: top amongst them are books (I love reading children's books, biographies, and chick-lit), movies (seriously, I could probably Netflix binge-watch you under the table), and laughing (if you don't have a sense of humor, move along). I am witty and I keep a guy on his toes. I love me some Texas, but I am desperately hoping to travel abroad soon.
What I’m doing with my life
I am ceaselessly educating and molding the minds of America's youth. I teach second grade and I love it immensely. I hope to pursue other goals in the future. Mark my words: I will write and publish a children's book one day.
I’m really good at
Improvisation: I'm not talking theatre improv, though I'm pretty good at that. I mean I frequently start sentences and have no idea where they are going to end up. Sometimes the stuff that comes out of my mouth is surprising. This everyday improv has led to some rambling. Guilty.

Word selection: That's the teacher in me.

Putting outfits together: I want to style about 70% of the people I see daily.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyebrows. They're kind of a big deal. I mean, you'll want to be friends with them...
My eyes. They are gray, green, brown. I have been told they look kind of like dead sunflowers. It was not meant as a compliment.
My laugh. Voted most contagious laugh as my high school superlative. You'd have to hear it to understand.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
A biography on Clark Gable (he fascinates me)
Pride and Prejudice
The Hunger Games Trilogy
Something Borrowed/Something Blue
The Fault in Our Stars

O' Brother Where Art Thou? (favorite)
Silence of the Lambs
anything with Steve Buscemi
The Prestige
It Happened One Night
Too many romantic comedies to list (even if you don't like them, watch one with me once in a while)
Disney movies, obviously.

The Mindy Project
Arrested Development (I have seen every episode multiple times, and I laugh maniacally every time.)
The Walking Dead
Parks and Recreation
Forensic Files (I have embarrassing love for this show, like 'DVR it at 6:30 in the morning because that's the only time it plays' kind of love)
House Hunters
I succumb to my baser instincts and watch some trashy/odd reality TV shows as well.
the Hood Internet: they mix songs together; they take the backbeat of one song and put lyrics of the other on top. They're amazing-google them.
I like 80s music in a so-bad-it's-good kind of way. Oingo Boingo? Yes, please.
of Montreal
Michael Jackson
I enjoy falsetto male vocalists without a single hint of irony. Except for Tiny Tim. You get out of here.
In summation, I like music that makes me want to dance or makes me feel something other than bored.
Favorite: Italian, noodles, and ice cream. But, food is great and I'm not tremendously picky.
Six things I could never do without
1. Family
2. Netflix (I am OBSESSED. I have gotten way too emotionally invested in long-canceled TV shows and forget that I have friends and a life that exists outside of my bed. I even use that trick that lets me watch U.K. Netflix.)
3. Libraries
4. Diet Coke
5. A body of water
6. Flowers
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what I eventually hope to accomplish, and what it would be like to live in various locales all over the world.
On a typical Friday night I am
either hitting the town with friends, or staying in with a good book or my Mac watching Netflix. But let's be real. I'm a teacher who gets up before the dawn Monday-Friday, so if I stay in on Friday, I will fall asleep mid-sentence by like 10:30.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am a ball of neuroses. But they're cute. I promise.
You should message me if
you like curvier ladies ("a thicker milkshake" as Pete Holmes would say) or you think we would have fun together.
