My self-summary
Hey y'all. Heart on my sleeve, honest to a fault, and I don't play games. If you do, I'm donezo.

Now that THAT'S out of the way I'm a former-but-still-part-time performer, filmmaker, climber and professional adventurer here in the city. I'm all about having incredible experiences and living life to the absolute fullest now, while I'm young enough to appreciate it. The majority of Americans do it backwards, waiting until they're too old and decrepit to actually enjoy the world around them in their retirement. Take chances. Look fear in the face. Do things that scare you. See the world.

One of my best friends affectionately calls me Captain Adventurepants.

Over the last two years I've seen over a dozen countries and been to every state in America... except for Alabama... Come ON Alabama! You're killing me.

Up for a road trip?
What I’m doing with my life
I currently work a couple gigs that take me all over the world. I perform with symphony orchestras around the country, and I sing Frankie Valli music on cruise ships. But when I'm not traveling, NYC is home.

I'm also beginning the process of trying to open a bouldering gym, which is a type of rock climbing where you don't use ropes (if you're not familiar). I've got a lot of irons in the fire...
I’m really good at
Saying yes.
The first things people usually notice about me
Superficially I'm not the tallest guy in the world, but I have it on good authority that my butt is pretty great. Their words, not mine. Hopefully that balances things out.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Alchemist, anything by Don Miguel Ruiz, The Power of Now, Kerouac. Love personal development books.

Lord of the Rings, Ender's Game series, Game of Thrones up through book three (I feel strongly about this). The Things They Carried, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and all other Douglas Adams books. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.

Movies/TV: Adventure/travel documentaries. Love 'em. Long Way Round (with Ewan McGregor), Top Gear, Cosmos, Planet Earth etc. Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Moonrise Kingdom, Life of Pi, Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars, Star Trek, Lost, Jericho, Dr. Who, Stranger than Fiction, Mel Brooks movies, Big Fish, Princess Bride, Love Actually, Moulin Rouge, LOTR, Star Wars duh. Many, many more.

Right now I'm really hooked on Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness (the guy from Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin, if that means anything to you)
The six things I could never do without
1. NY style pizza
2. Adventure
3. My passport
4. My family and friends
5. Rock Climbing
6. Being outside

7. Yoga pants. Yours. Not mine. Lord have mercy.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My next adventure. Everyone says this. Everyone. The difference is that I'm actually serious. I plan to do. I don't just plan to plan.

How I can choose love over fear in any given situation. We're all so pre-programmed to react out of fear, and it's just.... just useless. :P
On a typical Friday night I am
Depends, but I'm really not all that wild anymore at my advanced age. Netflix, film editing, bar with friends, these are all possibilities.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I recently learned that cutting jalapenos and then touching your... nether regions... makes for the worst 20 minutes of your life.

Also I use emojis. Deal with it. They're useful for conveying tone in a text-based world.
You should message me if
You're a feminist and don't mind making the first move. I might not have seen your profile yet! Cut me some slack! ;)
