My self-summary
Hi girls! I'm looking for someone who's active, funny, and who enjoys stimulating conversations. I just moved to the area a few weeks ago from the west coast, so I'm still learning my way around and finding all the neat things to do. I currently work in the aerospace industry doing software engineering, but I won't bore you with the details :) I love staying active and being outdoors and I always love a good challenge. I like learning new things and staying up to date on current events, politics, and such. As far as humor goes, I can be pretty funny/goofy/silly as the situation allows, but I also know when to be serious. But for the most part, I'm a pretty humble person with a lot of common sense who isn't afraid to work hard to get something I really want.
What I’m doing with my life
Working in a field I find mentally stimulating and challenging while trying to balance work and fun, and always trying to find things to do that will give me a sense of personal fulfillment . Oh yeah, and trying to find that special someone :)
I’m really good at
Anything I put my mind to ;)
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably face, smile, eyes, or something equally superficial. I have green eyes which happens to be my favorite color.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
The Dune series, 1984, Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, Rendezvous with Rama, Timeline, anything by Arthur Clarke and Frank Herbert. Don Quixote, Anna Karenina, Mark Twain's autobiography, a 3 part series on Theodore Roosevelt, and Knocking on Heaven's Door by Lisa Randall the particle physicist.

Star Wars, Back to the Future, The Right Stuff, Terminator (James Cameron films), Apollo 13, From the Earth To the Moon HBO miniseries, John Adams HBO miniseries, The Big Lebowski, Indiana Jones, old school James Bond movies, Crocodile Dundee, Goodfellas, Office Space .

TV Shows:
Last Week Tonight, The late show with Stephen Colbert, PBS news and documentaries, 60 minutes.

Mostly classic rock and/or roll, indie, some metal, and the like. Any type of 80's music with cool guitar licks always grabs my attention. I've learned to appreciate country more than I used to. Especially classic country. I can usually listen to just about anything except some hip hop, and R&B.

I'm also partial to Neil Degrasse Tyson's StarTalkRadio podcast.

I eat healthy most of the time, so I usually avoid fried food and fatty stuff like cheese, cream, desserts (though not all the time),and some types of seafood.
Six things I could never do without
Keeping my mind active
lots of good food (i'm kind of a health nut)
Physical activity / exercise
Corrective Lenses
medication (too keep brain from freezing)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
A great many things. Its no secret I spend a little too much time in my own head. I'm a detail oriented person, which I suppose comes with being an engineer.
Also, I have many interests but few passions. Ask and I'll answer : )
On a typical Friday night I am
Well, having recently moved to the area I'm still learning where all the cool spots are to hang out. Maybe you know someplace fun we could go.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I used to have a night light when I was a kid. Don't tell anyone.
You should message me if
You consider yourself independent, you do some type of exercise, and maybe you're not afraid to have the occasional deep conversation about life, the universe, and everything. I'm looking for a partner in life who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty and wants a genuine guy who will treat them with respect.
The two of us
