I'm also a bit of a geek. And by that I mean I am totally a geek.
I probably shouldn't mention that, should I?
Moving on. I love to debate and discuss on almost any topic. I have the habit of playing Devil's advocate to keep a debate going. I have many views on many topics, many of them probably ill-informed! I am passionate about my deeply-held ideals and opinions, but not so much that I ignore opposing views or evidence.
I'm a pretty creative person, with some talent for illustration. I'm currently hoping to turn that into a career/sustainable lifestyle! (On a side note, if anyone wants to commission an illustration... ;-))
I would like to think of myself as open-minded. I hate, and will always challenge, any attitudes or behaviours that dehumanise a subsection of humanity: homophobia; racism; sexism; oppression; bullying and so on. If you have a problem with someone because of WHAT they are, rather than WHO they are, don't bother to get in touch. Really. You probably won't enjoy the experience as much as I will.
Someone once accused me of pedanticism. "Actually," I said, "the word is 'pedantry'." (Apologies to whoever I stole that pun from - if you know where it comes from, could you let me know? It's been irritating me for ages and Google has been no help at all!)
I'm also the best possible person to have with you in the inevitable Zombie Apocalypse.
I'm also pretty good at being a friend and having a load of useless trivia floating around my brain.
I enjoy drawing and hope to become an illustrator/professional artist at some point soon. If only I knew how to get started!
Oh, and I rock at Guitar Hero... \m/
