I like to travel; go out for a few drinks; go out to dinner (anything from a hole-in-the-wall down that dark alley to the Michelin 3 star restaurant that takes 3 months to get in); going to Yankee / Knicks / Rangers games; go to concerts (don't go nearly often enough); go to the movies; generally I'm game for anything that sounds like it could be fun.
I think a better way to get to know me than this blurb is to read the little explanations I've put with a bunch of the questions I've answered.
But, really, this may be the toughest thing to answer. I'm a pretty smart guy, though if you boiled it down it's entirely possible I'm not quite as smart as I think I am. That said, I'm pretty damn confident in almost everything I do, so it's always appreciated when you look at me and say, "Dan, you're an idiot, you suck at that!", haha
Books: I have a long commute and travel a bunch for work, so I read a lot more than I used to. General themes are history, mystery novels, occasional classics and sci-fi. I had to read The Heart of Darkness twice before it made any sense. I should really read more fiction, but my favorite book is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
I'm ALWAYS looking for "what's next"... suggestions?
Movies: All the movies. I'm willing to see most anything once.
Shows: TV-wise, it's mostly your HBO shows (my fav of all time was Rome), watching sports, a few of the network comedies (Community & 30 Rock are awesome), and things like that. Despite living in NYC, I don't see nearly enough Broadway shows to have an opinion.
Music: Since I'm getting long winded, let's see if we can shorten this. Jam bands (Grateful Dead etc), rock / classic rock (Pearl Jam etc.), and amazing old school gangsta rap (Doggystyle's outstanding).
Food: I will try anything at least twice... I LOVE to go out to eat and try new restaurants / foods!
2. Sunscreen (sooooo white, haha)
3. Entertainment (doesn't matter if it's good conversation, music, movies, tv, sports, etc., just something...)
4. Annnnddddd.... I'm done, I think
Oh, and upon some serious reflection and soul-searching, I use ellipses WAY too much.
