My self-summary
self-summarizing sounds so final
What I’m doing with my life
I moved back to Switzerland in April 2012 after spending some time living and working in New Zealand and NYC for 1.5 years with stops in California, Vancouver and Seattle.. and very much loved it. It being the excitement and pride of taking chances, not knowing where I would end up or what to expect and not wanting to ahead of time because that would just ruin the love for everything coming my way, the exploring, getting to know new friends, ways of living and thinking (ok, that works anywhere in the world but maybe being away did help to indulge in it), amazing nature, lots lots more.
I've spent most of my life in Switzerland and which is great to end up multilingual and to be spoilt by impressive efficiency, public transportation and a high standard of living. I prefer experience over belongings and money but realize I'm in comfortable position to say so. Anyway, I'm very thankful for what I got to do and see so far and am looking forward to more.
I’m really good at
asking strangers questions on their favorite whatevers
The first things people usually notice about me
my blue eyes (so I've been told)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
many of all, the last book I read was Player One by Douglas Coupland and I loved it, currently am into Neuropsychology books because work in the area and because I very much appreciate the aspect of cutting edge science.
Some my favorite movies.. The Shawshank Redemption, Stranger than Fiction, High Fidelity, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (mainly because of the title), Little Miss Sunshine,.. loved In Treatment (the series) and get hooked on series that involve friends and relationships, just because it's a great source of inspiration and entertainment when it's something I can observe from afar (and don't have to deal with the drama myself)
I love singer songwriter music (sometimes all it takes is a guy and a guitar) but basically any kind of music that has something to say or makes me feel good... Ray LaMontagne, Jason Mraz, Amos Lee, Ben Harper are only the beginning (but usually a great one).
I could live off Indian and Thai food only (plus Bagels, smoked salmon, hummus with naan bread).. but am open to pretty much anything as long as I don't recognize eyes or other animals body parts on my plate.. when forced to decide on what I hate I tend to mention fennel (but it really depends on how it is fixed). I do love to cook (not so much for myself).
The six things I could never do without
coffee, wakeboarding, exploring new countries (that preferably include beaches), people-watching, dinner with friends, family
I spend a lot of time thinking about
where I want to live, what my next job should/will be, lyrics of songs I listen to... I tend to think a lot so there would be LOTS of things to list
On a typical Friday night I am
usually out for a drink with friends
You should message me if
no if really, if you feel like you want to after what you've read just do it
