My self-summary
Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father, prepare to die.

Scared of snails, fond of mojitos, love a good pub quiz and think there's little in life that can't be improved by the addition of prosecco.
What I’m doing with my life
Being a freakingly awesome librarian where I spend my days supporting academic research. I'm also spending a disproportionate amount of time trying to get my colleagues to appreciate the Oxford comma as much as I do. So far they're having none of it. The introduction of a star chart has also proved divisive, but I stand by my assertion that everyone works harder when a shiny star is up for grabs.
I’m really good at
Pub quizzes, and I bet I'm a better knitter than your Nan too.
The first things people usually notice about me
That there's normally a glass of wine in my hand.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Arthur and George, Good Omens, Still Life with Woodpecker, Sophie's World, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, The Book Thief, A Prayer for Owen Meany, The Time Traveller's Wife, The Wind Up Bird Chronicle, American Gods, Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, The Pirates! series

TV: Black Books, Father Ted, Mongrels, The Thick of It, Spaced, Green Wing, Big Train, Psychoville, Inside No. 9.

Music: BMX Bandits, Teenage Fanclub, Glasvegas, Camera Obscura, The Vaselines, Kirsty MacColl, The Pixies, The Levellers, David Bowie, Nick Drake, Sigur Ros, Jeff Buckley, Tori Amos, Rufus Wainwright, Imogen Heap, Joy Division, The Cure, Sophie Madeleine, The Tiger Lillies.

Films: Amelie, Withnail and I, Run Lola Run, Goodbye Lenin, Labyrinth, Clerks, Stardust, The Princess Bride, Willow, À bout de souffle, Last Year at Marienbad

I like making lists too.
The six things I could never do without
A packet of shiny stickers
Sport on the tellybox
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What the best cheese is. Right now I'm leaning towards halloumi, but that could easily change.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either in the pub or at home watching BBC Four. They're both pretty great ways to spend a night, as far as I'm concerned.
You should message me if
You can use grammar properly, know how to spell and aren't a psychotic weirdo (been there, done that a few too many times). Someone who doesn't run screaming at the words 'musical theatre' would be a bonus. If you have strong (negative) feelings about the use of 'LOL' then I may well fall in love with you.
