My self-summary
This is my third year in Chicago after moving from Southern California. I'm in love with everything about this city from the sport teams to the wonderful neighborhoods (and yes, I even love the winters). Much to my families dismay, I now consider Chicago my permanent home.

I currently work as a High School Bio/Chem teacher at a public school on the north side of Chicago. I never thought I would be a teacher but after completing two years in Teach For America I can't imagine having any other career. My students make every day interesting and they inspire me to be a little better everyday.
What I’m doing with my life
Teaching 15/16 years olds all the cool things about Chemistry.
I’m really good at
Dancing awkwardly (especially if my friends are embarrassed by it), making up songs about what I'm doing at that moment, yelling at the tv during a hawks game, and baking cupcakes.
The first things people usually notice about me
My shortness. This is beneficial when I'm flying but frustrating during a standing room concert.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Gone with the Wind, The Giver, Harry Potter Series, Brave New World, huge sucker for young adult novels, and any other book someone suggests. I'm always reading something before bed.

Movies: I love movies but my favorites change all the time. I usually like movies that are unique and make me feel or think about something different. For example, I saw Boyhood recently and thought it was amazing.

Shows: Game of Thrones, Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, Park and Recreation, Rescue Me.

Music: Country music is my go to right now but I love Alternative and listen to pop sometimes as well.

Food: All the Chicago food, seriously how is the food so good here?
Six things I could never do without
1) My sister (live together and basically are partners in crime)
2) Cookie Dough/baking
3) Beer/ Wine
4) a good book
5) Music (learning guitar currently)
6) Chicago sports...Go Hawks
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where in the world I want to travel to next summer.
On a typical Friday night I am
Going out for dinner and drinks with my coworkers or watching a good movie at home with my sister.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm terrified and obsessed with sharks.
You should message me if
If you are a fun and outgoing person who likes meeting new people and enjoying all the activities Chicago has to offer.
