Let's grow old, sitting on a porch, with a shotgun and bottle of whiskey! A country girl at heart: my head is in the city, but my heart is in the country. Basically, I have my life together, as far as my own log cabin, back in school with a goal of a career in law enforcement, dream lifted truck, two rescued cats and a rescued pit bull that I named Blue in honor of supporting L.E., the best friends, and mental and physical health. I would like to find someone who has their act together as well. I'm a rather spontaneous and optimistic person, who likes to not take life too seriously, so let’s turn off the TV, and go explore instead! I think people struggle to stereotype me, because I’m a little bit of everything. For example I love animals and am mostly vegan, but I also love stuff like monster trucks and getting dirty. Part country redneck; part artistic creative free spirit. Middle of the road politically... maybe a tad more conservative. I'm attracted most to 6'1" and up, manly, old fashioned gentlemen - trucks, guns, fixing things, uniforms, cowboys... That get's a bit tricky, because there seems to be this connection with animal abuse and defining yourself as a 'real man'. Things like hunting, the rodeo, getting your dog from a breeder, or eating steak all the time, are things I'd have to turn a blind eye too. I also run in to conflicts with my deep patriotism, yet not being religious. I’m used to dating religious men, meat eaters and fishers though; just don't ask me to partake. I know, that's probably too much to ask for, but I'd rather hold out for true love, than settle. Old fashioned manners can help make up for other things that don't align though :) Everything interests me and I have a cheesy, yet dry and sarcastic sense of humor. I have little interest in current pop culture, and I gravitate towards vintage. My log cabin is full of mostly antiques that I've collected since I was a kid. Family and friends are a huge part of my life. It would be great to find a best friend to travel, hike, picnic, workout with, and make love to :)
Have a great day!
If you'd like some online dating tips, read on for some suggestions:
Please dudes, don't post creepy/lonely selfies. It just makes it look like you have no friends and no life. Pictures of you out there doing things are much more attractive. Selfies go inline with profiles that go something like this: "I'm a pretty laid back guy. I like barbecuing, fishing, camping and movies. I don't know what to say here, so if you want to know more, just ask". If this is your only shot to shine, and you're lazy about promoting yourself, then ladies are just going to think you're lazy as a person. No one has time online to respond to your "just ask", and play 20 questions to see if anything is compatible. Sometimes an intelligent/interesting/funny profile can make up for looks. Next, if you write someone with just a comment about their picture, it will probably imply you never read their profile, and are basing everything on appearances, which will lead to a relationship that will fail in about ten minutes. Please don't write me with something like "Nice smile", "Hi, I'm John", Nice eyes" or "You look like you...". Write with a reason why you think we may be compatible.
