My self-summary
(Insert witty opening statement here.)

I'm a realistic optimist that finds myself often looking around and being really excited about the fact that I'm alive in general.

Born and raised in North Dakota, I've lived in Colorado almost a decade. As such, I've got plenty of the rural/urban dichotomy in me. I've been raised to be extremely dry and sarcastic, to love football (I'm a die-hard, lifelong Green Bay Packers fan and I don't do pink jerseys,) and to handle a vehicle in all of the elements. I love books, parties, video games, and Star Wars. I love getting dressed up and going out into the city, I drink champagne like it's going out of style, and a good costume party is always guaranteed to bring out the actress in me.

I am a constant thinker. I live for good conversation and I am always bringing up the no-nos that are sure to kill normal, casual conversation--why shouldn't we talk about them and get to know ourselves and each other a bit more? I'm extremely passionate, but I love listening to other people's stories and how they ended up where they did in life...not just in their day-to-day, but in their personal outlook as well.

That being said, I'm also wildly interested in daily life. While I truly enjoy talking conceptually about the bigger picture, I have really dedicated myself to paying attention to the small details in each day. I need a healthy balance of both to keep me dreaming and grounded all at the same time.
What I’m doing with my life
What am I NOT doing is probably an easier question. Right now, I operate inside the marketing/creative/digital space in a lot of ways: I'm a talent broker, a social media strategist, a freelance writer, a trivia host, a bit of an entrepreneur, an educator, I run a women's networking group and I volunteer when I can.

When I grow up, I'd like to be: a writer, an actress, a teacher, a philosopher, a politician, a business owner, a radio personality, a professional house-sitter, a beach bum, a dog trainer, a lawyer, a photographer, a music reviewer, a screenwriter, a director, a publisher, a personal stylist, a strategic consultant, a historian, a forensics coach, a motivational speaker, an international spy, an activist, and that female voiceover on true crime shows. I've got time. :)
I’m really good at
Telling long stories. But typically, they're pretty hilarious...if you can stick with it to the end. Also, getting myself into awkward and embarrassing situations--mainly because they provide excellent story fodder later on.
The first things people usually notice about me
My incredibly loud/boisterous laugh and my smile...I also probably said something charming and/or sarcastic.

The six things I could never do without
1) My dogs, Jezebel and Nero
2) Spotify
3) Netflix
4) Cheese
5) Books
6) Extremely hot showers
7) A really good ballpoint pen
8) Football
9) Caffeine
10) High heels AND flip flops

I know it said 6, but I got carried away. I like things sometimes.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...what's next? Let's do it all.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm extremely competitive. I always take second in Cards Against Humanity and it makes me crazy...don't go with the logical option! Go with the most ridiculous and yet still culturally relevant option! Good god!

...also, if Bohemian Rhapsody comes on, it does NOT matter where I am, I just NEED to belt that shit out.
You should message me if
you want to play video games, try out a new restaurant, walk around in the park, play volleyball, go to a dive bar and talk about Kierkegaard, sit at home with popcorn and movies, go to a concert, drive to the mountains, try a whiskey tasting, sit in a library or bookstore just to read, get crazy watching a football game, go for a bike ride in the city, volunteer for a day with people who need it, take a short vacation in a one-horse town, walk through a museum, go to a shooting range, or fly to Australia. With someone else who wants to do these things, of course. Also, feel free to message me if you believe in the Oxford comma...or if you want to hear a joke.

My personal philosophy on relationships is that we don't have to like all the same things--I want to share things in common with someone, but I also want to learn from them and be introduced to their world. It's exciting to try new things and I may not like all of them (I don't expect you to, either,) but I'm still looking forward to giving them a shot!

UPDATE: I'm really not interested in a sex-only sort of a deal. If that's all you're looking for, feel free to move along. It's not difficult to find sex in the real world--I'm not going to sit online looking for it. And remember, everyone, "no" actually does mean "no."
